I hope you're wrong in what you're saying but from what I read of this set so far, only/roughly 54% of the shorts are going to be released and it would just be silly to just release the remaining 90 on a Volume 2 set for a quick money grab (but heard Sony and a few other studios are notorious...
To me guys, way overpriced for an incomplete set BUT if they make some adjustments and changes to what was originally listed for this set, then it might be worth the investment but they need to include all 190 shorts as that is a non-starter at least for me, but again, to each their own.
We'll...
I say let's wait for the official press release to come out for this collection and let's hope that all 190 shorts will be included as I have a feeling the details released so far is incomplete with details and it might have overlooked some key facets to this forthcoming set, just a guess at my...
If they cannot license out the Healy shorts, then as long as they're able to secure some more of the solo Stooges shorts and include ALL 190 of the team's short subjects, then that will make this set a solid one on the Blu-Ray format.
Forgot about that Snow White film they were in many years ago.
I'm talking about including most, if not all, the Shemp, Joe and DeRita shorts to make this set truly worthwhile, IN ADDITION to including ALL 190 shorts they made, including the TV pilot "Jerk of All Trades" for this become a sensational Blu-Ray set, so yes, I did read the points you elaborated...
It'll be nice to {FINALLY] see the Stooges shorts on the Blu-Ray format along with their movies and such, but it's a shame it won't be the entire series of shorts of the Stooges or any of the Shemp and Joe Besser and DeRita solo shorts as well, which would really have made this set extraordinary...
Speaking of the series and movies of this classic, Catchy Comedy will be airing a huge binge on Memorial Day weekend from 10 AM CT 5/25 - 5 AM CT on 5/27, first up being the series and then the movies...https://www.catchycomedy.com/schedule/2024-5-25
There are a few of those A&C cartoons available on Youtube to get an idea of what they were all about, which [to me] were OK but nothing too special though...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_QpRiNiWrc
With the one exception and that's the long lost short [still] called "Hats Off", as only scripts of that short remain intact and a few photos, but you never know when one might stumble upon it through some discovery of sorts somewhere across this world of ours.
That's why I still believe to this day, old school technology will never ever go away anytime soon. Just look at LP sales versus CD sales as an example, where LPs are outselling their counterparts by at least a 2 to 1 margin, maybe even more, but not cheap to own a standard LP though these days...
Malcolm, I heard that Ames story might going the way of the dodo bird as there were media trying to get a hold of them regarding that press release but nobody ever bothered answering those requests from Ames so who knows if that story of them re-opening is real or a fabrication yet again from...
Wondering if there is still demand for this series? Hell, I'd like to see Muppet Shows Season 4 & 5 be finally completed along with a host of other programs that are close to completion, like Mr. Belvidere for example.
Didn't even know that PC Richards was still around and hasn't a few cities tried to revitalize Circuit City, such as Dallas along with a few other Texas towns?
