I didn’t use the Vudu app on Apple TV. I simply played back Aliens digital files on the iTunes and Apple TV apps and only the theatrical version would play 4K while the Special Edition listed in the Extras played back in HD.

What can I say, I love how this 4K/Dolby Vision digital looked on my OLED and immensely enjoyed watching the theatrical version again. Furthermore, a shoutout to the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. I'm looking forward to doing the same with the director's cut.
I watched the movie in its entirety this morning and I thought it looked great on my OLED. I didn't notice any waxiness and I was looking out for it. I can't wait to own the 4K/UHD because then I can see the director's cut in 4K/Dolby Vision.
