Atlantic Technology Makes Big Splash at CEDIA

At 2018 CEDIA Expo, Atlantic Technology says it will be exhibiting its largest product expansion ‘ever’. This includes a mix of SKAA wireless home theater, multi-room and personal products, plus premium tower speakers, subwoofers and outdoor speakers. However, among it’s 14-product in-total ‘new’ offerings, we’ve selected the company’s specific home theater news, as reported directly in the company’s press release this week (below). For forum members who might be attending CEDIA this year in San Diego, Atlantic Technology will be on Booth #4347.

• NEW SKAA Wireless Sound Bar/Subwoofer – Gatecrasher 3: Embodying Atlantic Technology’s ‘easy to install and configure approach to multi-room systems’, is a new wireless Sound Bar/Subwoofer package with multi-room streaming capability similar to Gatecrasher1. Its rigid, non-resonant extruded aluminum cabinet with six 2.5-inch woofers and three .75-inch aluminum dome tweeters is driven by 150-watts of class D system power. The wireless subwoofer extends low frequency range and makes the system easy to install. Gatecrasher3 creates an uncompromising wireless home-theater surround sound free of interference, lag or distortion. Optional Atlantic Technology active SKAA speakers and integrated amps can be added.

• NEW Flagship Tower Speaker – 8600eLR: This new speaker features non-resonant MDF cabinets in a gloss ebony veneer finish, housing four new high-performance 8-inch fiberglass woofers, two new 5.25-inch fiberglass mid-drivers in a D’Appolito array with a new magnesium aluminum alloy dome tweeter. The cross-over is a 4th order Butterworth asymmetrical, time-aligned Linkwitz-Riley design with bi-wire inputs. A high-sensitivity spec of 91 dB with power handling up to 300 watts per speaker makes the 8600’s perfect for very high-performance home theater and 2-channel systems. The 8600 tower speakers ship in November 2018. MSRP $2,599 each.

• NEW Ultra-High-Power Subwoofers: Atlantic Technology is expanding its extensive subwoofer line upward with a pair of high-powered subwoofers suitable for the most demanding home theaters. Both models feature line and XLR inputs, a 0~180⁰ phase control, adjustable crossover, auto on/off, volume, bypass, and a DSP controlled EQ. They are housed in heavy-duty MDF cabinets with a high-gloss piano-black or satin finish. Both models ship in November 2018.
SBT-500: 500 watts, 2×250 watt amps, two 10-inch woofers. MSRP $1,799
SBT-1000: 1,000 watts, 2×500 watt amps, two 12-inch woofers. MSRP $2,499

• NEW SKAA/Bluetooth Wireless Active Bookshelf Speakers – FS-252: These compact wireless SKAA speakers are acoustically matched to Gatecrasher 3 to operate as the front and/or rear channels in a wireless home-theater system, or as stand-alone active speakers. Each speaker is powered by a 25-watt amp. Aux and RCA inputs, pre-out as well as wireless SKAA and Bluetooth AptX in/out for highly-flexible use anywhere in the home. Included with the FS-252 is an IR remote. The FS-252 ships in November 2018. MSRP $749/pair
