Oh definitely. They have new D-ILA chipsets for starters and also a newly designed 8K e-Shiftx engine. The latter might be transferrable to the NZx series via software but certainly not the former.
Thanks for dumbing it down a bit for me. :D
Other than the Projector Central review you linked above, I hadn't even heard of the revisions around fan speed control. Personally, I've never understood such concerns as I don't even notice the fan in practical use. Even if I did, I'd welcome it...
If I'm understanding you correctly [some of the terminology went a bit above my head] that's a good point. Even if I were in the market, these new models wouldn't be compelling enough to trigger an upgrade, especially knowing it would mean mounting another JVC projector. Definitely not an...
Are you referring to the improvements of these models over their predecessors? If so, my comment only reflected my opinion. You're free to disagree however I have owned the current gen NZ8 for about a year now. :)
The improvements seem worthwhile but less than "groundbreaking." I'd expect the current NZ8 and NZ9 projectors to be discontinued in favor of these new models.
If I were buying now I'd obviously opt for the new NZ800 but it's not worth upgrading, as my NZ8 remains a stellar performer.
Yea, I never meant to buy a Japanese Playstation 2, just didn't read the listing closely enough. It's a phenomenon I call "leaping before you look," a mistake I make too frequently. Meanwhile, my new-to-me console arrived today. I've completed basic testing but can't wait for enough free...
While it's generally rude to answer a question with another, I have to ask, "OK with whom?"
The inference would be "is it OK with each of us who chooses to respond." My answer is a resounding "YES." If it was "OK" to make Mississippi Burning [and it was] then it's OK to make films about...
Well, when I took a serious look at what I'd need to accomplish this [Free McBoot memory card, USB drive, SATA adapter for PS2, SATA HDD for storing games, USB to SATA dock for transferring games] I realized the monetary cost alone approached that of a "new to me" console. Then there's the time...
Thanks for the reply. Can you provide more detail? The seller says it will work and it seems to be an inexpensive and risk-free option. I'm inclined to at least try, before ordering another console.
Mods. Please let me know if this needs to be a separate thread.
Looking for some guidance. I just bought a used PS2 console from eBay [I know...] thinking it would be a simple plug & play replacement for my original unit, which unceremoniously died a couple of weeks ago. When I received the...
Here you guys go applying logic where I was [for the moment at least] more comfortable with emotion. The app is a lot better than stock Audyssey but a gradual approach with this tool is clearly the better choice.
Phil Jones and Cam Valentine do a deep dive into Audyssey MultEQ X and Pro. other than Phil's insistence on calling it MultIQ instead of MultEQ throughout, it's very informative. For me it's also confirmation this is not a path I want to take as I have no interest in becoming an audio...
