I highly recommend the Reel Vault complete season 4 DVD set. It is a stellar release - the same high quality uncut episodes. A number of the shows include the original openings and commercials. I’ve been hoping they will continue releasing more seasons.
Any plans for the Warner-owned Abbott and Costello films? These are the last A&C holdouts for blu-ray. Also, how about some more love for Lucy? - more RKO and of course "The Long, Long Trailer". A complete restoration of TV's Adventures of Superman would be amazing. Oh, and Gilligan needs to...
Your CRT is displaying the entire widescreen picture (including the left/right bars) on your screen. In order to do that, you not only see the embedded left/right bars, but you also get bars along the top and bottom. Not in all cases, but most DVD or Blu ray players have a "Wide" mode setting...
I can record on my DVD recorder with my Firestick connected with an HDMI to RCA converter. However, this results in a 16X9 image crammed into a 4x3 box. This is how it burns to the disc. To play back properly, you have to adjust the settings on the TV to stretch the picture back out to...
This is actually a pretty good release. As is typical of TimeLIfe, there are some edits, but many of the shows are uncut. The season 1 episodes and the pilot include the NBC "In living Color" opening tag.

I can't stand to watch The Carol Burnett Show on ME-TV the way they broadcast. Sometimes during the Q+A, Carol's head is halfway off the top of the screen! Give me back the 4:3 ratio please.
I wouldn't look to Kino for any animated series. Quote form the Kino Insider from January 2020 (on another forum) - "We have no interest in doing anymore animation. Unless Warner Brothers or Disney opens their vaults to us." From September 2020- "As I had said before, we're done with...
I believe the reunion movies were all done at Universal and are not controlled by Warner Brothers, making them unlikely to appear on any series release.
Just an FYI - In the early planning of bringing the Lucy hours to blu ray, the "Lucy team" did an extensive search of the vaults and did find this footage on 35mm. Unfortunately, CBS decided they wanted to start with "I Love Lucy" season 1 and we know how that turned out. The full show did...
There is a book published by Bear Manor Media called "The Carol Burnett Show Companion" by Wesley Hyatt. It has detailed info on a majority of the shows. Using that and recognizing which season and which guest star helps complete the picture. Also, Folk keeps going back and re-structuring...
I was disappointed that they did not include the episode recaps for the season 3 two-parters. It is jarring to me that those "part 2" episodes start with the opening credits rather than the cold opening that was standard for season 3. The cold opening in those cases was the recap, and results...
