Probably also matters that this isn't exactly a frenetic, hyperactive, fast action (w/ lots of panning and/or unsteady camera work), explosive movie like many modern, action popcorn flix -- such hyperaction and camera work (and explosiveness) can definitely be very taxing on codecs... Outside...

Bummers. I actually brought a good size, (lightly) folded plastic poster bag (from a previous reward poster from Disney Movies Insider) to use for it, which happened to work perfectly, especially given the heavy card stock. I considered bringing the cardboard, poster shipping container, but...

But how exactly did you do that (to be sure you're actually seeing the 4K digital downconverted instead of the HD digital version instead)? AFAIK, most streaming services/apps do not allow for downconversion most(?) of the time -- and I'm not sure how one can ensure one's getting the 4K...

Now that you mention that, yeah, I do get that sense at times. Guess I was only thinking the reformatting would involve cropping (top/bottom) instead of opening/expanding the sides. But yeah, it's probably not the kinda show that makes me scrutinize the composition enough at least in binging...

Not that I doubt "Paramount got to Paramount" at all -- that almost seems a given in most cases -- but how did you check out the 4K digital since you don't have 4K display? I understand you feel your access to 4K-to-HD downconversion of discs and/or certain quality screencaps are generally good...

You can see it in HD on NetFlix these days. That's what I finally got around to doing lately to see what all the fuss is about (and have never used NF quite this much before), LOL... and yeah, this newbie is hooked, haha! ;):lol::D As I mentioned in the Star Wars thread, I even watched a little...

Someone (or two?) apparently canceled for the seat(s) next to mine, so I had empty seat buffer flanking me on both sides, which was good since my neighbors on both sides had merchs (and one was also fully dressed up w/ lightsaber, etc) -- I was somewhat tempted to dress up and bring a lightsaber...

RotJ next in a few minutes... and then a ~45min lunch break... BTW, turned out I have the ideal/best seat for this... and definitely better than I could do at home... though it probably made TPM and even AotC look too soft (and somewhat washed out looking), heh... _Man_

Prequel Trilogy just completed. Been a very long time since I last saw all 3 (more or less) in their entirety... and certainly a very fun crowd for seeing this, if at times kinda odd w/ laughter and/or applause, heh... Not too sure how long I'll last before dozing off some bit. I had planned...
