Maybe it's because I went all-in and ordered the Stop Making Sense coaster set and the Dance Like Me: A Stop Making Sense Companion Zine, as well? I don't normally go for lots of tat, but in this case, I lost my mind.

OMG YES!! One of the most horrible of the awful early Universal blu-rays will now get the release this superb film deserves! Been waiting for this for years.
I'll be double-dipping with the UK 4K UHD, coming out on June 10th. Need the english subtitles. Adam Driver's heavily-accented English was, at times, impenetrable to my ears.
One of many things that really makes the movie click, is the terrific soundtrack. A smashing mix of lesser '60's ditties (remember how they dug out and polished a lost Elvis song for this?) and groovy David Holmes originals.
I went in blind last weekend and was completely unengaged. I found the script derivative and bland. It felt like the entire crew had just decided to go off on a working vacation to Sydney. I find it difficult these days to be impressed by stunt-work, as I automatically assume large amounts of...
Interesting that Warner Bros. have reversed the straight-to-streaming model, which they introduced during the pandemic, to months and years after a high-profile theatrical release. You know what? I personally think it's positive that people have to go to a cinema to experience a film again...
Um - don't want to put a damper on the party, but seeing how this thread is going to turn into one of those 100 page ones, could one of the mods please correct the spelling of High Definition in the title?
Totally agree. However, I believe all the boutique labels issue "Standard Edition" 4K HDR discs, after the Limited Edition. StudioCanal typically allows a year interval between the "Limited Edition" and the "Standard Edition" releases. The most honest way to go about things, would be to go the...
Thank you! (I searched for the thread using the site's "Search" function, but nothing turned up. In general, I find the HTF "Search" function to be very limited).
Easily the most invigorating film out there now in theatres, Challengers is a terrific combination of an exciting sports show-down and a really twisted love-triangle, which only could have been made by a European director. I haven't been such a fan of Luca Guadagnino - I didn't swoon over Call...
I doubt there will be much difference. I'll only know when I compare the two on my own system. Colours, compression and better data throughput are all potential benefits of a 4K UHD and are more obvious on large screens/projected. The Japanese Studio Ghibli blu-rays are reference-quality.
