I haven’t had time to watch the event video; I’ve browsed the product pages. I’m half-listening to Upgrade podcast about it.
Is the Apple video particularly worth making time for? Or is there a clips video summarizing it? It looks like it’s basically iterated iPads and nothing big lost skipping...
Skimmed Applea product pages. iPad Air looks like a nice update. No price increase, I think, and 128GB base storage. I think it works with my current Magic Keyboard. $350 with my iPad Air trade-in. I’d like to get it. But priorities just changed this week so probably wait until this winter.
My projector is directly overhead and fan noise is a nuisance. Especially from the NX7 which is quite loud on High Lamp. I’d much rather a fully passive cooling system with no noise, in a perfect world.
There are claims that according to JVC these models have substantial new hardware, which presumably is why some new features can't be brought to the NZ7/8/9 models. Is that so? Don't know. I'd love the more graduated fan speed of the NZ800/900 to be on the NZ7/8/9. But it might be there's a...
Yes. What I meant to say is: new models aren't exciting enough for people like you to upgrade and flood the market with old NZ7/8/9 models. That might keep used prices up somewhat.
But also there was a unique scenario where early adopters of NX5/7/9 got 30% discounts off 2018 pricing. And then...
Getting ready for amazing new hardware lacking the software to support its full amazingness.
But my iPad upgrade plan might go on hold though due to early projector upgrade.

The best resale was for the NX series buyers who bought new and sold with the release of NZ. The NX launched with superb pre-order pricing — which I somewhat regret not buying in hindsight — and then caught the 2.5x price increase for the mandated MSRP pricing for NZ. They lost only about 33%...
Start time was right there in the announcement and commented on by all the tech sites 😆
As typical I’m traveling on an Apple announcement day. So will see what’s what that night waiting in the airport. :)
Pretty sure they are.
I got similar pricing for a new NZ8 on close out. Very tempting because it’s relatively speaking a fantastic price. But I’m just not quite ready for such an expense.
I might regret it in 6-12 months and I am ready and now I’m looking at NZ800 pricing :) but so it goes...

Hopefully Apple has some iPadOS updates planned to take advantage of all the m3 and m4 power coming next month!
Otherwise, they’re widening the hardware-software gap they’re created the past several years with their hardware teams so far ahead of their iPad software teams.
I was fortunate to buy the Diamond Luxe Canadian version (with Atmos) when it was priced normally on amazon.ca back in 2017. I meant to get the 3D version and merge them, but I don’t think I ever got around to it. And now I don’t have a 3D projector any more so that’s moot.
I came to this...
So what is the OP about and what’s it have to do with this? Shouldn’t it link to the this movie release? I’m really confused by this thread. :emoji_upside_down:
Presumably not, especially with the studio specifically doing PR to say MCU expertise not required. But in the first trailer, as soon as I saw they were building off of Loki, rather than being a solely Deadpool-original-standalone movie, it sucked 10% of my movie-enthusiasm-lifeforce.
They're working up the PR machine is work to counter concerns from people like me:
