No, "Enhanced Edition" just refers to special features, the overall special edition package, not to the film itself. That was just something on the Zoetrope website. The film is exactly the same as it was in 1992. The "director's cut" was just someone misinterpreting and assuming.

There is no director's cut. There never has been. The BD is the theatrical cut.

According to DVD Answers, Universal's releasing The Jerk in a "26th Anniversary edition" on July 26th. There don't seem to be many features to speak of at all, but it is in 1.85 anamorphic widescreen, which is the important thing. More details at DVD Answers.

There's a note on Criterion's website stating that Candice Bergen (Malle's wife) taped an interview with them about Au Revoir Les Enfants for the upcoming release. Sounds good.

And, by the way, Freaked is also set for a June 14th release, with some decent special features (it was mentioned at Fangoria, I believe, and it's also up for pre-order at Amazon).

The Master and Commander Collector's Edition was only two discs...but was still worth it. As for this...well, Fox has been disappointing with this recent practice and their need to re-release a new title six months later with a special edition (Man On Fire, I Robot, etc.). Shame.

Also King of the Hill: S4 is on 5/3.
