Target's official response sounds like "same as it ever was" going forward, meaning further contraction of brick and mortar stock, still a decent selection online.

Oh, it is terrible, but if an Exorcist spoof with Linda Blair back as the possession victim, and Jesse The Body Ventura and Mean Gene Okerlund doing commentary over the final exorcism is your thing, its a fun ride. I love it. Can't wait to finally get a copy in OAR.
Glad Kino wound up with it...
Speaking of this era's Superman, DC finally released the first of the Silver Age Superman omnibuses a couple weeks back.
Starting with Action Comics 241, which was pointed out elsewhere by comic writer and Superman historian Mark Waid, Action 241 first released on April 29, 1958, the day...
Surprise release here. Up for preorder

Makes no mention whether these are the edited versions that were released of the first two seasons or anything...
I hope DC reprint Sgt. Rock in either the Compendiums or their new DC's Finest (aka DC's Epic line) format.
Oh, BTW, found Vault of Horror 5 last August. Slightly above cover. Finished up the EC Archives collection just in time to pack 'em away for a move.
Some catching up...

Ooh, great info from both Jerry and Will. I had a nagging feeling I was slightly off about Lois's solo title and hadn't factored in Showcase.
Thanks both.
That Lois Lane logo says to me post-1959, since that's when the comic started. That also kind of means no George Reeves. Did these live shows continue on after his death with a different Superman and the rest of the cast?
Because original networks mean nothing.
From what I can find, this show was a co-production of Aaron Spelling and Lucy. I believe that Paramount eventually wound up with this era's Aaron Spelling library, so CBS were the ones who were able to release it on DVD.
Another MU order. The last one got me Psych for $77, O&H for $18 each.
This one was Quantum Leap 2022 S1 on Blu, Mr. Mayor the complete series on Blu, and Hitman Hart Wrestling With Shadows on Blu, which is a documentary about Bret Hart's last days in the WWF and the Montreal Screwjob, that...
With the Movies Unlimited November coupon going live early, and internet confirmation of contents finally coming in, I bought Psych: The Complete Series on Blu-ray.
Also, completed Ozzie and Harriet on DVD with seasons 13 and 14.
Both purchases kind of needed to be waited on until coupon time...
The discs will be pressed, just MOD.
Pretty much all of the sets Universal releases on Blu themselves are technically MOD and only available online, but they're all traditionally replicated discs. No BD-Rs to be seen. You can always tell when a set is MOD when it pops up out of nowhere one...
I don't know if anything in your wheelhouse has been released on MOD in this fashion so far, but price drops definitely are not guaranteed with the stuff the companies release in this way.
There are definitely good deals to be found, especially if you catch the right site with the right price...
That was my initial thought as well when I first saw the news.
"A new classic Fox remaster from Disney? In HD? THIS IS WONDERFUL!"
Then I read a little further and the joy turned to a string of profanities.
Coming to Hulu next month, in a newly done Disney HD remaster!

...in16x9.
Unless a willing guinea pig tells us otherwise, you might as well wait for the bargains, because Cheers was released even further edited than the DVDs. Paramount somehow found a way to edit more music out and not use the streaming versions which had music restored.
So Odd Couple will probably...
Yeah, I hit Gruv. Their base prices matched Amazon's, and a 20% off new customer coupon code got 'em down to the "Gotta buy!" level.
Though it was Amazon's fairly reasonable prices on the two new sets anyway that got me looking for a better deal.
Decent prices and an extra coupon netted me Doctor Who: William Hartnell Season 2 and Jon Pertwee Season 3 for around $30 each, which is my sweet spot for... well, any Doctor Who on Blu.
So I'm current again on Classic Who until Season 20 from the Peter Davison years is released in the US.
Couple of delays here and there, but overall, the series took about a month per season to make it out on DVD.
Not bad considering there were no official season releases when June 2022 began, and definitely nothing restored and remastered.
This was a hell of a project Sam Nelson, UCLA, and MPI...
Hm.
Blue Collar and Pinky and the Brain are straight repackagings. I wonder if Pinky will include the much loathed Pinky, Elmyra and The Brain season?
Step By Step, IIRC, will be one of the shows that is making its debut on store shelves, with most, if not all, having been Archives releases...
Never say never.
Since my last post in this thread, the Great Material Continuum has provided with EC Archives, giving me nearly everything I needed in the $30-$60 range, including this morning's "happy 40th to me tomorrow" present of what I thought was the unobtainable Haunt of Fear 1-5 all in...
I ordered it a few weeks back in June when it hit $40, with an estimated arrival date of July 8. They pushed its arrival out to August, and that's where estimated arrivals are still for the set through Amazon.
So, it was easy enough to cancel, especially with a set in hand.
Grabbed Hogan's Heroes on Blu used from Amazon in the mid-$50s.
Also, since I was in Walmart, I grabbed Mayberry RFD complete and canceled my Amazon order that kept getting pushed out. Same price, and it was in my hands, so I stood there, canceled the Amazon order, and walked out with Not-Andy.
