It's nice to see some of these releases continue the trend of including animated shorts as a special feature. Some of these shorts haven't been on physical media, so hopefully this bodes well for a Looney Tunes Collectors Choice vol. 4

My guess is that they did standard DVD-R because it's a re-release of a previously done set. The archive definetly doesn't like doing standard definition blu-ray releases. IMO, this is a test to see if there is a market for Cartoon Network content.

Agreed! There's a lot of other random MGM cartoons that deserve a release as well. The MGM cartoon library has a lot of random gems in it. They could easily do a one volume release that compiles them.
