Looks like you're describing several westerns released in Germany on BD like "The Guns of Fort Petticoat" that I watched today.

That's correct as I just verified the aspect ratio which I didn't do when I bought it on Monday.

I don't know if you stream, but the other day, I purchased the HD digital from iTunes for $4.99 with a 2.35 aspect ratio.

I'm going to pass on those German Blu-rays and stick with my HD digital streams I have in my digital library on Vudu or iTunes for those titles I don't currently have on Region A Blu-ray.

I have to think Twilight Time is going to release this before the year's out so I'm going to forego any other Region BD release. In the meantime, I have the HD digital of it on iTunes so I'm going to watch it this coming week to evaluate the video quality of it. If it's good then it will help...

I just finished Night Passage, I thought it looked very good and is a big improvement over the DVD.

I don't have This Island Earth, but the other two are 1.78/1.85 ratios.

Well, I'm happy with the Universal release so I'll stick with that release as spending another $22 in double-dipping is not in my best interest with so many other titles that I want to purchase.

Amazon is now selling the Universal release for $5.98 so I hope that German title is worth it for you.

IMO, the Universal It Came From Outer Space is an excellent disc so I don't know how much better with a higher bitrate you're going to see with it.

I have an HDX copy of "The Bravados" on Vudu so I'll just stick with that until a Region A Blu-ray Release. However, I did order the following four Blu-rays for a total of $43.19: The Net Lawman Bandelero Beowulf 3-D

As to Yellow Sky, it was released in July, 2016 by Kino so I don't know if another BD release is forthcoming that is derived from that 4K restoration in Region A. Perhaps in Region B with those other companies. Of course, that will mean triple dip for me regarding this title on blu-ray.:blush...

Agreed, I saw it during its theatrical run too and it's never been a great visual experience.
