Yeah, I do that, too. I just watched the penultimate The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel tonight and won't get to the series finale until next week. I'll watch the first of this last batch of Manifest tomorrow. With the writers' strike in full swing, it's going to be a long time before regular TV series...
My best friend and I have agreed that we'll only watch one episode a week so we can talk about it during our weekly lunch, but after watching episode one today, boy, am I tempted to binge the other nine! I won't because a deal is a deal, but it's going to be hard since they're RIGHT THERE FOR...
It's great news for those of us who stayed with the show despite some rocky times especially over this past season where things really seemed to be going off the rails.
I had not read this latest update, so thanks, Adam, as always for your timely news and views. I hate to ratchet up any hope at all, but one can't help but feel a bit of a twinge that maybe something can be worked out.
The show was canceled in the wee hours of the morning today. It is the one cancellation this season that really hits like a gut punch. I was really invested in several of the characters and the intriguing storyline, and it will be hard to leave those many cliffhangers from the season finale...
Yep, I was relieved when I read of its renewal a few days ago. NBC took so long with this announcement since they don't own the show, but anyway, I'm glad it's coming back to confound and perplex me for another season.
Same here. I have found it more intriguing to get to the solution of the central mystery. More convolutions than ever, but rather than being a turn off, it has engrossed me more.
The show hasn't been renewed for next season yet (some shows on NBC's schedule have already gotten three-year...
Baby daddy drama and Michala boy friend drama were not welcome subplots for me. I really am only interested in the central mystery which is still intriguing and keeps me coming back, but I always resent when time gets allotted for these melodramatic interludes with their love lives.
I can tell you who I think got hit by the gunshot - Michela. (And the producer did reveal that the bullet found a mark; it didn't go in the ceiling.)
I have willingly taken this ride and have enjoyed it most of the way. Can't wait for next season (even though the show hasn't been formally...
I agree totally. With all of the other drama happening all around them constantly, we didn't need the constant domestic turmoil.
BTW, loving the latest twist they've thrown into the mix (and who wants to bet there's going to be some romantic angst tied in with this new arrival, too.)
It has gripped my attention from the start, and the narrative lapses with certain characters (Ben's wife being the most grievous one) haven't kept me from anticipating each new episode tremendously.
I liked the second episode, too, and am also signed up for the season.
The ratings showed some drop off (for all shows except The Voice), but it outrated everything else on the night and seems to be a keeper for the network.
Tonight's ratings will tell much of the story. The show built on its The Voice lead-in last week, the first time that's ever happened. If the ratings show only subtle erosion in the second week, it will mean people are intrigued enough to stick around for awhile. We'll know tomorrow.
I enjoyed it. It held my attention and kept my curiosity up about where it's going, so I'm in for the ride unless it sputters dangerously off the rails.
The ratings were very good last night which shows the ads and premise held some interest for 10+ million viewers to at least sample it. Will...
