I'm sure some one has mentioned Shane (1953), but I hadn't revisited it in some time and wanted to give it a re-watch. Great Cast from Van Heflin and Alan Ladd to Jean Auther and a very young Jack Palance. A wonderfully played western yarn about family, justice, loss, power and the misuse of it...
I went for some classic Duke, the one that really shown the light on him and got him into the bigger roles and better films, Stagcouch (1937). And such a memorable cast!! It is definatly one of my top western films.

Last night i watched "They Died With thier Boot On" (1941) Errol Flynn/Olivia De Havilland pairing in the mythical rendering of George Armstrong Custer and Anthony Quinn as the Souix War Chief Crazy Horse did a great job...classic Hollywood fables. And followed up a second sydo-history hollywood...
One of my favorite TV westerns growing up as a kid was Yancy Derringer. Set against a post war torn New Orleans, in the act of rebuilding and the powers of greed and corruption determined to win, set the stage for a good adventure series that only lasted one season but still a fun watch. It...
Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer doing the Trinity trilogy of They Call Me Trinity (1970), They Still Call Me Trinity (1971) and My Name is Nobody (1973). A fun Binge watch...
Binge Watching the two versions of Fist Full of Dollars/Yojimbo and For a Few Dollars More/Sanjiro. In many cases it's a shot for shot homage from Sergio Leone to Akira Kurosawa. I haven't done this in a while, but it'sa perfect weekend project!!!
Maverick (1994) - A revisit for this one, fun cast and although sluggish in spots it still carrys you over the finish line. It was nice to see James Garner as Brett again, I was a big fani the TV shows,
For the 1954 film starring Wild Bill Elliott, see The Maverick. For the 2022 Top Gun sequel...
One of my favorite cross over films is Red Sun (1971), Charles Bronson, Ursula Andreas, Capuchin, Alain Delon and the mighty Ishiro Mifune. A true East meets West combo platter, fun script and great timimg.
A fun and often overlooked western film, and in need of a restoration and Blu ray release.

Why is a film like Mackenn's Gold still not on Blu ray? This wonderful wide screen classic, great cast, nice story and some pretty cool special effects as well.
