What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Just arrived today. I enjoyed the 8 episodes I have seen from the two Alpha sets and am looking forward to watching more soon. Film Chest is a little company about 30 minutes from my home here in Connecticut. They only release a classic tv series once a year or so, but always do a really nice...

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Dennis, I bought All in the Family direct from Shout! many moons ago. All the season 1 discs are around 4gb in size, but that is because they only contain 4 episodes apiece. Season 1 only had 13 episodes. If you check the size on a season 2 disc that should be around 7gb as there are 8...

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Enjoy Randall. I really like this series with Ron Ely. As Jeff mentions it's not great, but solid enough, and completes the "comeback" of Tarzan to be more representative of the way Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote the character. Although I am quite fond of the Weissmuller movies, I enjoy Ely's...

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Steve, I've got all three seasons of Police Story that Shout! has released. Season 1 is full-length and cleaned up pretty well. Unfortunately seasons 2-3 aren't quite as sharp, and they are edited versions. Despite those imperfections, it is a great series and I would love to have the rest of...

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

This is the last Network release I had been interested in buying. Well, except for all the future releases that might have come out had they stayed in business. From what many have been saying there has been a lot of price gouging taking place on old Network stock, but Amazon UK had a...

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Wow, that was fast. It got from California to Connecticut in 2 days. Probably won't get to start watching until next week, but so glad to support what ClassicFlix is doing. Keep 'em coming!

Scott, glad you were able to buy this one without selling your firstborn! Strange Report is one of my favorite Network releases. Enjoy!

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

I loved their releases last year of the creaky, archaic Saber of London and was looking forward to future volumes. Not to mention all the great stuff they have released over the years. What a bummer.

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are my favorite vendor. This isn't a belated April Fools' joke, is it? If it's true, I am really sad. This almost makes me want to cry.

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

All the discussion of this series over on another thread got me interested so I picked up this Reel Vault set. I don't think I've ever seen this show. Certainly heard of it, and this release looks great.

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

I'd never seen this series, or even heard of it until ClassicFlix started releasing it. I've enjoyed the stories a lot and will look forward to diving into this final set of 13 episodes.

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

I really love Laramie. It's a fairly predictable western, but Jess and Slim are just so comfortable to watch. And as much as I love Timeless, Laramie has got to be one of their ugliest releases. An unfortunate combination, but better than nothing. I am now on my second time through the series.

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Jeff, all great stuff, but Going My Way is a real treasure. Very simple, heartfelt dramas. The three leads are wonderful together. My wife and I loved it and will probably watch again soon. Another example of why I still miss Timeless Media releasing obscure gems like this. I hope you will...

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Pulled the trigger on Code 3. It sounds like another Dragnet knock-off, but I am a sucker for 1950's b&w series. And 39 episodes at that price can't be beat. I also pre-ordered Dangerous Assignment from MPI for all the same reasons.

An interesting combination, indeed. Bonanza is a classic. And I love the Ken Burns baseball film. An elegant and honest portrayal of the national pastime. Neal, looks like you have some great viewing lined up for you.

Lou Grant, seasons 1 and 2. One of those that I've always meant to purchase, and now that there is nothing new to spend my money on, I am finally getting around to it. Heard a lot about the writing and acting on this series, so I am looking forward to diving in.

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Just purchased this week the complete set of The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. Not sure why I have neglected it for so long. Made time to watch three episodes. Definitely not classic TV, but quite enjoyable. Like far out Daddy-o.

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

The Under Dog set (as well as Tennessee Tuxedo) are both new reissues of sets Shout! released back in 2012. Slimmer packaging and reasonable prices. The best cartoon from that era is Rocky and Bullwinkle. Under Dog and Tennessee are both quite fun in their own right, and I'm glad I finally...

That Equalizer set is my all-time favorite VEI release. Universal only released one season so I was glad to see VEI had picked it up. And all the extra stuff they included was just gravy. Edward Woodward is perfect as Robert McCall.

Can I ask one last question of any of you Dr. Who aficionados? What's the deal with the "Lost in Time" releases for the first two doctors, William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton?
