In the last few days, I’ve binge-watched episodes of the Universal spoof cop series The Partners (1971-1972)
starring Don Adams (Get Smart), Rupert Crosse, John Doucette, Dick van Patten.
It’s good fun and the urban music scores by Lalo Schifrin and Richard Hazard are excellent.
It has a fine...

A dedicated French orphan willing to join Company K plot and with original music cues: see the opening titles and the theme of Gilbert performed by a harmonica. First, the boy acts like a puppy dog and then he becomes the...
The cream of the crop remains:
“The Sky’s on Fire”
A good remake of the feature film with a real global death threat enhanced by a plotter rival scientist which creates mutiny inside Seaview by stinging sailors with his drugged ring. The tale goes like this: one scientist named Dr. Weber kills...
The cream of the crop remains:
“Blind Man’s Buff”
It’s a good and engrossing question of identity episode treated through the classical amnesiac case which was also made in other CBS series like The Wild Wild West (see the season 3 “The Night of the Amnesiac”) but it is blended with the theme...

Review:
This is the first departure of the series from season 2 that starts as a personal affair a la “The Ransom” (season 1) and a whodunit that integrates a Jules Dassin’s Topkapi element: the stolen Greek crown; tight and clever. The complexity of the plot is similare to the season 2 “The...

A misanthropic French deserter storyline. It’s a three man adventure: Saunders, Caje and Kirby plus a reluctant and game hunter guide who refuses to be involved in the conflict. Near the end and after receiving two...
It’s the masterpiece of this season 14, a fascinating and tension-filled character study on a self-assured intruder and fast gunfighter thanks to the inspired performance of actor Steve Forrest as a laconic and untamed devilish beast and a Newly-oriented piece. The director fashions a descent...
I'm still double-checking my review on “Before I Die” from The Streets of San Francisco.
It's one of the best season 2 episodes all the way…
It's the second episode guest starring Canadian-born Leslie Nielsen.
The cream of the crop remains:
“The Machines Strike Back”
Former allied and Russian Vice Admiral Alex Halder (notice the German name) sabotages and reprograms the automated American Defense Drone submarines to attack three eastern city (New York, Philadelphia and Washington) of the USA with...

I’m currently watching and reviewing the season 2 episode of The Streets of San Francisco
entitled “Before I Die”, guest starring Leslie Nielsen which is the best of his three appearances.
It is another vigilante entry focused on a gangster.
Thank you for the accolade.
One funny detail about the character of Abigail Pringle: after the terrible kelp diner, she has had too many drinks and her phony spectacles tilt! I like that detail a lot!
