I’ve gotten word that Warner Archive is being kind enough to share a review copy with HTF. I will hopefully be getting it next week and look forward to being able to cover this release in an official capacity.
Speaking very generally…
Usually review copies are sent out first with the idea being that the studio is soliciting reviews to (hopefully) help get the word out about their releases. In my experience as a reviewer, I’ve never had a case where a product was withheld for the reason that the...
For sure - between parenthood and home ownership I’m in budgeting mode too and these aren’t easy choices. I just had expected something twice what they listed so I’m having I guess you’d call it reverse sticker shock :)
I was speaking list price - I think I did the Kickstarter for Vol 1 which...
Honestly I consider anything under $100 a big win.
3 seasons each 20+ episodes is a lot of behind the scenes work. I think it was said to be a ten disc set. The Abbott & Costello Show season sets are about $50 each season by way of comparison.

Sadly, because of the way music clearance works, it’s a frequent occurrence with older titles where the music rights fall into the hands of publishers and other organizations that do not realistically value their assets. It’s not uncommon for them to ask more for the usage of a single song than...
I agree wholeheartedly. I completely understand that everyone has different purchasing priorities and budgetary constraints and in general I’m not too comfortable with telling people what to do with their money.
But with that being said, when it comes to disc sales and what counts most with...
