WKRP In Cincinnati: The Complete Series Review (See Posts #218 & 356 for Info)

At some point my Dad figured out how to hook up the TV sound to his big stereo set-up. I think we were watching Mission: Impossible and you could actually hear the string bass in the opening theme - and then there was an explosion with some low-frequency sonic impact and I realized there was...

WKRP was a DVD set that I was most anxious for - I just looked this up and I can't believe the Shout! edition was released FOUR years ago. I have enjoyed it so much. There were a few episodes I had never seen before and it was a wonderful discovery and re-visitation watching the complete series...

To make it last, I have been watching only one a week. Can't believe it has been a year since the set came out! The last one I watched was Frog Story. In season 3 so far l have especially enjoyed Jennifer Moves, Hotel Oceanview, and Baby It's Cold Inside. Those episodes seem to really capture...

So call me a simple guy but I am loving this. First of all, the video quality is 1000 times better than I have ever seen. The sound is more robust than I have ever heard. I have only watched a few episodes but I am already delighted with the extra moments that I have never seen before. My gosh...

For what it's worth, the piano music during Jennifer's dream is "Stardust" by Hoagy Carmichael and Mitchell Parish. An old song, but well-known thanks to Nat King Cole and others. I'm sure they had to pay for it.
