Hey Jeff: Oh we watched it when it aired here in the states on PBS. The star of the piece for me is the gorgeous scenery of the English hillsides (and the practice's Golden Retriever). The humans are fine too! :laugh: I agree that Sam West is a standout...frustratingly obnoxious one minute...

I just received the Blu-ray release of Season 1 of the new PBS series of All Creatures Great & Small. Good TV. Beautiful scenery (those Yorkshire dales!). And a gorgeous Golden Retriever (who I hope gets more screen time in subsequent seasons)!

This thread's topic is very specifically about buying TV show episodes on disc. Not about the advantages/disadvantages of discs vs. streaming. There are plenty of other threads in which to do that.

Haven't unwrapped the plastic, but I hear no floating discs or bits of plastic rattling around when I shake the case. The Complete Series of 30 Rock uses two of those same cases and my copy of that is fine, too.

I just looked at my discs. The Pilot Movie is included on the Season 1 Blu set. The season 8 set includes :Look Back to Yesterday" and "The Last Farewell." The season 9 set includes "Bless All the Dear Children." Lots of discussion on the Blu season LHotP releases in THIS THREAD.

You'll be very happy with that set, John (and all the other ones if you get them).
