While I don't have the set yet (it streets in early June) and they don't mention it in the tech specs for the set on their website, I think it's pretty safe to assume it will have English subtitles.
I have both of their recent, previous Avengers sets (Imprint Television #3: The Emma Peel...
Pre-ordered today, ViaVision/Imprint's region-free Blu-ray collection of The Prisoner, and thanks to a 20% off UK TV series coupon code provided in the email advertising that classic series, I was also able to order ViaVision's Callan: The Ultimate Collection region-free DVD set (already at a...

Meanwhile, thanks to the Kino Lorber Summer Sale, I've ordered:
Night Gallery: Season 1 (Blu-ray)
Night Gallery: Season 2 (Blu-ray)
Night Gallery: Season 3 (Blu-ray)
I agree, actually. The theatrical Magoo cartoons are far superior, especially the earlier ones. Even then, it's a one-joke premise. Still, they have some charm and are generally well-made. The 1960-61 Mr. Magoo TV cartoons were still produced by UPA, very shortly after the end of their...
I ordered Shout Factory's Mr Magoo: The Television Collection on DVD for $24.95 at Hamilton Book. In comparison, its list price is $79.97 and Amazon is currently selling it for $48.09.
The set includes the 1960-61 Mr. Magoo Show; the 1964-65 series, The Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo; the 1977...
These were cheap during the Prime Day sale, so... I grabbed 'em.
The Herculoids: The Complete Original Series (Blu-ray) $17.99
Green Acres: The Complete Series (DVD) $33.49
ClassicFlix is having a "Silver Series" sale, so I ordered:
O. Henry Playhouse, Vols. 1-3 (DVD)
And from Kino Lorber's "While Supplies Last" section:
The Ghost of Sierra de Cobre (1964, Unsold Pilot/TV-Movie) (Blu-ray)
Nightmare in Badham County (1976, Made-for-TV Movie + uncut...
Another dive into Network goodness:
The Four Just Men: Complete Series (DVD)
The Goodies: The Complete LWT Series (DVD)
Casting the Runes (1979, from ITV Play of the Week) (DVD)
--plus a handful of movies.
Continuing my pre-emptive strike (ahead of scarcity/scalping), in the aftermath of Network's demise, I ordered:
Interpol Calling: Complete Series (Region 2 DVD)
Dial 999: Complete Series (Region 2 DVD)
UFO: Complete Series (Blu-ray)
Also, since the price dropped recently on Amazon to $55...
Even though I have many of their releases on my shelf already, given the sudden bad news about Network, I decided to strike while the iron is hot, and ordered some of their other titles (from a trusted vendor) that I had put off for far too long.
1.) The Champions: Complete Series (DVD)
2.) The...
I just got Primal: Season 2 on Blu-ray.
If you like Conan the Barbarian, One Million Years BC, Marvel's Devil Dinosaur, Fire & Ice, Tarzan... you really need to check this series out; it's like a brilliant mash-up of all of these, with masterful animation, direction/storytelling and incredible...
So, I had a TV series on my Netflix streaming queue for (literally) years, never quite getting around to checking it out, as I had other viewing priorities. Last month, I finally decided to give it a try, and saw that it was going to leave the service in about a week or two (of course!), forcing...
Taking advantage of the last day or so of Network's blu-ray sale (ends Tues 4/11 at 4:00 pm, UK time), I ordered The Persuaders: Complete Series (likely Region B-locked) set.
Received as a Christmas gift:
Ray Donovan: The Complete Series + Ray Donovan: The Movie (DVD)
Subsequently bought:
Better Call Saul: Season 6 (final season, Blu-ray)
Moon of the Wolf (1972 TV-movie, Blu-ray)
The Tyrant King: The Complete Series (1968, Region 2 DVD)
Tales of Unease: The...
It's just a cute, linguistic flourish, relating to the espionage theme of the series. They also call the bonus material on the disc menus something else, as though you are about to go on a mission.
Just a follow-up post to let you know my set arrived today, and it is indeed region-free; this despite nothing on the packaging or disc labels to indicate as such. A beautiful, solidly-constructed package that is also nicely compact.
Thanks to Amazon's 'Cyber Monday' deals, I picked up the Paramount "all-in-one" Blu-ray release of the complete, original Twilight Zone (an upgrade from my old DVD sets), as well as Outlander: Season 6 on Blu-ray.
I also recently nabbed Blu-ray releases of:
The Point (TV-Movie, MVD)
The...
Have you guys seen The More the Merrier (1943), the movie of which Walk Don't Run was a remake? It doesn't have the Tokyo, Olympic or 1960s aspects (and no Samatha Eggar nor Cary Grant), obviously, but nonetheless is one of the greatest romantic comedies ever made. Directed by George Stevens...
I just picked up the Lilyhammer: Season 1 Blu-ray set for $3.95 at Hamiltonbook.com.
An early "Netflix original" streaming series, filmed and set in Norway, with Steven Van Zandt doing a "fish-out-of-water" comedic riff on his Sopranos persona; I think only Season 1 got a physical media...
Thanks to Network UK's current "HD35" Blu-ray sale (ending at 4 pm, their time, Wed Oct 5th), I just ordered The Professionals: The Complete Series(Blu-ray). Not sure if it's actually region-free (more than likely it'll be Region B locked), but I have a region-free Blu player, so no worries.
For me, ordering this set was well worth it, even though I already have both of the Emma Peel seasons on Blu-ray, plus some of the other stuff. Why? Because it collects it all in one place, in a (presumably) region-free package, plus some extras I don't have.
Right now, I have:
All the old A&E...
