Been doing an Elton John dive the past week or so since I've never really listened to him. He's fine, I like him but none of them are grabbing my ear. I'm probably good with a couple albums and a greatest hits set. Currently on this one going chronologically:
been listening to the first CD from the Neil Young Archives Volume 2. It's insane how good this disc is and I haven't listened to any of the other 9 CDs yet! (well, I've listened to the three that were previously released, but I'm going boxset order now lol)
This one is probably the best of the Woodstock comps. Sure, the latest releases have more tracks broken up by day, but it's unwieldly. not to mention the complete boxset of nearly 40 discs that is just a monster to spend time with.
I love Ween. BABY BITCH on that album kills me everytime. A lot of truth on that song considering many write them off as a comedy band.
I'm listening to The Grateful Dead: 30 Trips Around The Sun Show 2 - Los Angeles 1967. Phew, even typing out Grateful Dead stuff can be a chore... :P

disc one of unreleased studio recordings is fantastic.
disc 2 of live material is fantastic too, but the sound quality is a little rough since it's not really professionally recorded. About the best you will get for this era though.
Rolling Stones Blue & Lonesome. New album of blues covers is SMOKIN' HOT! They are in damned fine form and do not sound like 70 year old millionaires. It's also great to hear Jagger on harp. Been spinning it all day. Might be my favourite album by a classic group this year. Beating out The...
