100%. Romantic films aren't really a favorite genre for me, but there is something about A Walk in the Clouds that really resonates with me. The film has a wonderful score that really helps set the tone of the film and it was worthy of a nomination.

I would agree with that assessment. Another film with zero nominations that frankly surprises me (considering the assembled talent) was 1999's Eyes Wide Shut. Lots of nominations from other institutions, but nada from The Academy.
I haven't really seen enough to make any sort of predictions...

Without a director nomination for Greta Gerwig, it seems fairly unlikely. Not impossible, but only a handful of films have done so in the history of the AA.
