That's exactly how I remember him-- that CBS Sunday medical series that was a huge part of Sundays when I was a boy (following the NFC games of the NFL, 60 Minutes, Murder She Wrote, and many other things on Sundays on the Tiffany Network).
Don't think I ever saw a full episode of it, but...
And she was in that very-well-done 1989 episode of Hunter which I spoke of on the "What Did You Watch..." thread (a female Terry Vine [Vine, played by the late, great Larry Hagman] being the main villain in that fourth-season episode of The Streets of San Francisco called "Dead Air"]).
The best one of his I remember seeing was "Hartless Hobby," third-season episode of Hart to Hart (OAD Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1982 on ABC); I don't have the DVDs anymore as of now, but here's a clip with him in that role, and a screencap as well.
I have that on DVD, and have seen it several times, and I think the best aspect of it is how much trouble they went to to recreate the Washington Post newsroom in a sound stage; it made us feel that we were actually in Washington, D.C., inside one of America's foremost newspapers.
The late, great Michael Norell, as Capt. Hank Stanley from Emergency!, sixth-and-final-season episode "Family Ties" (from sixth-and-final-season DVD)
