    I think another thing that hurt the DVD market was when they kept coming out with different versions of the same movies with maybe on new extra feature.

    i have seen online dvd/vhs players if you are lucky to find them. as far as the vhs movies you can find some titles at various goodwill centers.

    They are adapting to newer markets by investing in new technology like 4k. Physical media rules. Many streaming services don't carry certain movies.
