That is true. Agreed. Obviously, they are trying to create new fans and convince fans on the fence to want to buy with a sampling. I thought they would only do it with a few seasons to get the ball rolling, but they've gone all the way to 8 seasons so far.

I tend to believe that the revenue generated from earlier seasons sets has a way of justifying and financially supporting the production of later season sets. Hopefully, enough will purchase the season sets as released so that a complete collection will eventually be able for you to purchase...

Why would you expect 24fps? DVDs do not support it. My understanding is that DVDs are limited to NTSC 29.97fps or PAL 25fps. NTSC is how it would have originally aired.

$200 for 100 episodes is too rich for me. Too bad they didn't just do volumes 1 and 2 as years 1 through 7 and volumes 3 and 4 as years 8 through 14. Then the episodes would be in viewing order, plus some people could buy just the first 50 and then later the add the second 50 to eventually form...
