Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

I bought both Abbott & Costello Seasons 1 & 2, Public Defender, World Of Giants , 21 Beacon Street plus a bunch of rare movies. All great. I'm sure Angel will sell really well and looking forward to it.

Same situation with Hawaiian Eye. It is plain frustrating that certain other shows had the music issues worked out so they could be released on home video, but other ones like the ones mentioned here have all these legal and music rights preventing them from getting out.

Agreed! The other titles are standouts too. Eagerly anticipating some other good ones soon.

Ozzie & Harriet has to be, at least in my opinion, about the best thing to happen on home video in the past couple years certainly as far as TV shows go.

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Back when there were multiple shows you liked on different networks at the same time. You had to decide which one you would watch. No way to record back then. Angel sounds like an interesting show. I've never seen it before. It had some tough competition back then when it aired.

This one is out of left field, but what about "Happy" with Ronnie Burns and Yvonne Lime?

Well you shouldn't. It is very hard to do. I tried it a few times, I finally had to exhale :)

Yvonne Lime is gorgeous! I'll buy anything with her in it. I liked her in "I Was A Teenage Werewolf" opposite Michael Landon. She also appeared in a few Ozzie and Harriet episodes and another film called "High School Hellcats"(1958). Anyone remember that one?

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Me too, Gary. I would love to see them strike a deal with Universal to release those B titles from the 40s that have been mentioned on different threads numerous times. As much as Kino and others have done a great job on classic titles, I don't see them ever releasing Andrew Sisters, Gloria Jean...

Okay. Thank you. I thought I would ask. I didn't see that part of the thread.

So we know 2 of the 3 classic shows that will be released soon. Ozzie & Harriet and Abbott & Costello. Still wondering what the third one will be. Any more hints?

I agree 100%. Great news. It will be nice to see uncut episodes(maybe including original commercials) and later episodes with Rick singing.

If The Munsters is 1 of them, I would hope the original music cues substituted in 3 episodes would be put back in.

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Does anyone know, assuming O&H is 1 of the 3 releases, if this suppose to be the one Sam Nelson announced 10 years ago? Will all 14 seasons be released or just a couple at a time? If this is really one of the releases, will a lot of people be happy and surprised!

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

My wishes: Ozzie & Harriet for sure, the remaining seasons of Donna Reed(if someone can acquire them from Sony), Mr. Novak Season 2, The early seasons of My Three Sons(done properly if you know what I mean). Some others as well that went from B/W to colour later.

I like Patty, but not all the time. Hoping for more shows that haven't had a release yet.

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Thank you. I agree. I am not on here to engage in heated debates with anyone. I am here to read and comment on upcoming DVD/Blu Ray releases and like posts from others who share the same passion and love for classic TV shows and films. I apologize for my comments that I directed on someone else...

Really?? Unbelievable! If you're so upset, why are you posting those stupid little smiling things? Please grow up. This whole thing is utterly ridiculous. Someone simply states an opinion and offers a suggestion without telling the other person they have to do it and the other person reacts in...

Sorry. I never attacked you. I am sorry you have an issue with people simply offering you a suggestion or stating an opinion. Anyway, I reported you. I don't deserve to be treated in this manner. I did nothing wrong.
