Sharp Aquos
Okay, So I am running an HDMI from the PC to the AVR but it only sends Stereo sound. I pull up the Control Panel and select Manage Audio Devices. I get two options (forgive me I am not home, off memory and work pc) Sharp HDMI and Realtek High Definition. Default is Sharp but when I select configure speakers and get the diagram with person and speakers, I only get the Stereo option. Under Audio channels: it only has the stereo option to select from. If I go to Realtek, it has the options for 5.1 and 7.1 but the input or output rather is showing the different headphone jacks. And also, there is no sound with realtek. On the Sharp option, when playing a DVD with 5.1 encoding, it plays the rear speakers through the front. Anyone have this issue? Any fix recommendations? I hope I don't have to buy a sound card.
