Tak3n, or Taken 3, is one of those films for which you presume there will be a 4, or more.
It's a simple concept, that doesn't change.
Go after someone's family, really piss them off, then under-appreciate their abilities, and the concept continues.
Taken 3 is probably a bit better than quality TV fare, with expensive chases, stunts, etc.
In the end, while it's a fun ride, and with nice performances from Liam Neeson and Forest Whitaker, it seems to be not much more than a paycheck for those involved. Not a bad thing.
Tak3n was shot on film, apparently partially anamorphic and partially S35, and Tak2n through a 2k DI.
It's a quality Blu-ray. My only problem, and it may be my system, was some ADR that seemed unbalanced in the mix-- just a bit in one's face. Regardless, no loss of point, as whatever it is, and if it is, is in the production.
