Before I get rid of my dvd set, does the blu-ray set carry over all the extras that the dvds had? Tried searching for the review but came up empty.
I thought that a good portion of the extras did not get movies to the Blu-ray set.
Part 2 has always been my least favorite of the three That's Entertainment films. While I adore Astaire and Kelly and it's great seeing them still hoofing with grace and aplomb, the movie clips themselves were rather haphazardly arranged in many cases and Fred and Gene monopolize the clips. They're undoubtedly great, but there were plenty of other great performers and numbers to pick from, and this second effort disappointed me.
Unquestionably. The opening credits are the bomb!TE2 lacks the focus of the original. Including comedy clips and seemingly jumping from clip to clip randomly gets frustrating after a while, despite the presence of Astaire and Kelly. The opening credits are fun, though.
The main difference that I recall was that the DVD set included two versions of the films, the theatrical as seen in theaters and a second version where the 4:3 clips were not fitted to widescreen. The DVDs were flippers. The bonus versions were the TV versions when TVs had 4:3 ratio screens.
I don't recall if these making of featurettes were on the DVD,
And from the Oscars:
