comScore Announces Official Worldwide Box Office Results for Weekend of August 28, 2016

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- comScore (NASDAQ: SCOR) today announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of August 28, 2016, as compiled by the company's theatrical measurement services.

comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "The box office is 'Bourne' again in China as Universal's 'Jason Bourne' is the No. 1 film there this week and by virtue of this performance is pushed to the number one spot globally with $62 million over the weekend. Having opened in China on Tuesday, the box office through Sunday is an impressive $50 millionand has already passed the lifetime box office of all the Bourne films in this all-important moviegoing territory."
