A really early edition of the RoundUp! Thanks, Mike!

I should be receiving Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates this week, and I've requested one or two others which may or may not come. We'll have to wait and see. This month's Twilight Time releases have yet to find their way to my house, too.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike!

I had no idea until reading through the list that Rod Serling's Patterns was coming out on Blu-ray. So I'll get that as well as Chopping Mall. I'll hold off on Valley of the Dolls and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls until the next B&N Criterion sale, as they're not a priority.

With 3 Criterion on the list for Tuesday -- a reminder that Criterion.com 50% flash sale should be coming up fairly soon -- possibly starting midday ET on Tuesday though the betting line favorite is for Tuesday 10/4.

Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is already 19.99 at BN.com plus possibly you can use 20% off single item code F7V8H7U AFTER the item goes live for order on Tuesday morning. 50/50 the price will stay the same at least for a bit after it becomes coupon eligible
FS is $25 or with membership.

Dave had to mention Patterns on blu-ray, which I also missed. Hmmm, I'll wait for the reviews on that, but that may be a purchase later on down the road. Let us know what you think of that transfer when you watch it, Dave.

After purchasing so many the last couple of weeks, it is nice to say nothing for me this week.

Patterns is on TCM tonight. Don't know if it'll be a high definition broadcast, but it has to be superior to the abysmal DVD I have of it.

If it is hd it's a really fuzzy hd.
Dtv's guide doesn't have any indicator at all.

Thanks once again for the roundup :)

Target has already shipped Warcraft 4K HD which apparently was far cheaper than the Bluray alone at Target ... gotta have some Dolls probably from Criterion or B&N sale or both ... Prolly Bill & Ted ... but later

Thank for your work, Mike!

Hunt for the Wilderpeople on Blu-ray, which you have listed in the grid, is actually not being released until October 25, but the DVD is this week. Why the delay, I have no idea, but it was originally listed as a DVD-only release and then apparently somebody at Sony reconsidered that (which is a god thing, because the movie has some incredible wilderness visuals that deserve to be seen in HD.)

I will wait another month for the Blu-ray edition, and consequently, there is nothing I want this week.

Jake:

Excellent intel! Thanks.

I'll go remove the Blu listing for Hunt for the Wilderpeople. But you probably just helped some people avoid an obnoxious double-dip.

I have the Blu-ray on order with Amazon, and it's not shipping until October, so even if anyone had ordered it thinking it would arrive this week, the charge and shipment just wouldn't go through for another month. But, happy to help, if indeed it did help someone.

FS is $25 or with membership.

The 20% off Single Item online code is working with the new Criterions at BN.com. The code is re-usable

Beyond the Valley of the Dolls -- $15.99 after the code.

Dekalog $51.79

Valley of the Dolls is back in stock for ordering online -- $25.87 (20.70 after code)

FS is for $25+ or with membership
Pretty good prices for new releases though the 2 50% off sales are still upcoming if you're looking for a bit lower prices

David:

When should we be expecting those sales?

I just realized the other day I never upgraded my copy of Seven Samurai to Blu.

All a bit of guesswork based on past sales.

My guess BN sale should start Nov 1 or 8th and end at the end of the day 11/28 or 12/6 -- going through CyberMonday has been the norm the last few years and 3 or 4 weeks length.

The Criterion.com sale could be any day now . Today isn't out of the question though I haven't seen any announcement anywhere that would indicate that. The most likely date is Oct 4, but Criterion rarely gives much warning. Tues (27th/4th/11th) and Thursday's (29th/6th) starting Noon to 1pm ET seems to be most common ( Tuesday for 6 of the 8 sales I think) . October 11th would be an interesting date with 'McCabe and Mrs Miller' and 'Boyhood' releasing, but I think that would be too much to ask.
