I am trying to purchase my first projector. We have a dedicated room with no windows. I have been dreaming about the LG HU80KA. I just measured my wall for a 150" screen. Oh...my... That's so big. I don't think I realized. I'm wondering if there are resources for how far away to sit and how far away the projector has to sit etc. That's big enough to essentially be my entire wall. I think it leaves enough room for speakers on the edges and for components underneath, but not with much more room. I'm worried at that big that where we normally sit (about 12' away) won't work and I'm worried with the screen that big about the projection angle and seating if it has to sit too far back (heads in the way etc.) on the ceiling.

Thanks for any help.

Projector Central has a mount distance tool for each projector they sell.

I used this tool to properly set up my main seats. My wife sat in the seat and I measured the distance to her face. Yes, I had her hold a tape measure to her face while I measured. She thought I was a nut case until she saw the results.
