1MORE introduces THX-pending noise-canceling earphones

1MORE has announced that it is now shipping a new True Wireless ANC In-Ear headphones set featuring dual drivers, two levels of active noise cancelation, a pass-through mode and a wireless charging option. These are the first wireless headphones pending THX Certification, according to 1MORE, cementing the company’s ethos of producing “luxury” audio products. The product is available to buy on 1MORE.com and Amazon.com for $199.99.

“The 1MORE team is thrilled to be expanding not only our true wireless headphone line up, but also our Dual Driver ANC series of products as well,” says Patrice Chen, 1MORE USA CEO. “Combining premium sound and a competitive price point makes this product appealing to not only audiophiles, but anyone looking for a best-in-class true wireless headphone.”

“THX engineers perform extensive tests to ensure sound reproduction is of the highest quality and is preserved so that the audio is heard as the artist intended it to be enjoyed,” said Peter Vasay, general manager and senior vice president of home products, THX Ltd. “We are proud to work with 1MORE and support their commitment to bring to market best-in-class products with uncompromising quality, performance, and consistency as verified by our detailed THX Certification process.”

Key features include ANC (active noise canellation) with one feedforward mic and one feedback mic for improved cancellation through a broader range of frequencies, and Surrounding Awareness, a pass-through mode for users to be aware of external noise while in crowded streets. There is also what the company calls ‘user-friendly compatibility’ where a Qualcomm chipset and Bluetooth 5 achieve aptX and AAC transmission for Android and iOS devices.

Charging is wireless or via type-c port and the unit includes 6 hours of battery life (5 with ANC on) and 22 hours with the included portable charging case that itself provides three full-length charges. A ‘fast charge’ facility means you can charge for 15 minutes to get an additional 2 hours of use. THX Certification is based on tests including frequency response, channel balance, cross-talk, THD and polarity. You can get more information on the testing processes from THX here.
