Artnovion’s New Flow Acoustic Panels

Portuguese acoustics engineering company and manufacturer, Artnovion, has introduced the new Flow series of acoustic panels to deliver improved acoustics in the home, and give a ‘striking’ appearance to any room. The panels are ‘hybrids’, according to the company, which combine an acoustic core with calibrated diffuser. The dual functionality is believed to break with traditional parameters of acoustical design by creating new paths to solving excessive reverberation and uneven sound fields.

The panels’ cores are formed by interweaving acoustic foam with Helmholtz resonators over a sealed air cavity to deliver maximum performance, and the stylish parallel slats are designed to break up incoming waves with a uniform reflection pattern to create ‘homogenous’ sound fields.

Artnovion claims that the most striking aspect of the Flow panels is the design possibilities they offer. Their parametric form, a trending architectural style, creates a pattern that flows along a room’s walls, both morphing and unfolding according to your point of view. The panels are fashioned from a selection of woods and in a range of colors, and the company assures minimal wastage of materials to mitigate environmental impact.

This small company’s mission in its quest to deliver the finest design, engineering and customer service,  is summed up by CEO Jorge Castro:

“Sound is an audacious and powerful living element. An element that shapes the perception of our universe and embraces our senses. Curious about this elegant interaction I have nurtured a passion for sound ever since I can remember. Driven by the challenges of unravelling the mysteries of sound, I have been traveling through an extraordinary life journey of studying, imagining and creating acoustic innovation. Artnovion has become my life’s mission, the canvas I created to share this journey with you.”
