I probably have a pair somewhere, but I much prefer stereo pairs that I can either free view or cross-eyed view, with or without glasses--no weird colors to deal with.
Also, Blockbuster had MANY copies of the most recent releases, whereas most mom and pop video stores could only afford a few. And Netflix's availability was unknown and you had to wait for the mail.
I am by no means a sound expert, but I always found that the music cut at the end of the film--when Eve is looking at herself in the mirror--seemed very distorted. And it was always the same in every home video release. Is this a well-known issue, or is it just me?

I have no opinion on the new WSS because I haven't seen it, but as for Ben-Hur, the 2016 remake of the 1959 film might be a better comparison, historically. And it won no awards.
I've wanted to leave my old DVDs to the local public library, whose collection is very small. These are classic films, too, that I think every library should own. They told me the DVDs would be sold for $1 for 6 to make money. So I changed my mind.
