Scott Atwell Star Trek Discussion thread (Series and Films)

I've never been enamored of "Tin Man". I think part of my problem is that I don't care for Harry Groener, and this is 'his' episode.

That's Alan Scarfe with the unmistakable voice. If you've ever seen the old time travel series from the 90's called SEVEN DAYS (UPN), he played the project lead.

Fugitive comes to DVD in a 33 disc set on Nov. 1st 2011

When the 'syndicated' shows are still running the bad music, and they are, I wouldn't make any assumptions.

No you wouldn't if the music was wrong...

General Discussion Streaming Frustrations, Part 2

From the close-in western Philly suburbs, growing up, I used to move the rabbit ears to try and pull in the New York stations. Channel 7, WABC-TV was always the easiest as it was far away in frequency from any Philly signals. There were times when it came in almost like a local, and other times...

Blu-ray Review Mission: Impossible: The Original TV Series Blu-ray Review

Starting with being irritated by the calliope music in "Old Man Out", I was with MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE from its first season on. Eventually, in addition to my sisters and me, Mom and Dad also became fans and the show was a must-see every week, no matter where CBS moved it on the schedule.

Question Dick Van Dyke show DVD vs Blu ray set

I was about to add that yes, the STAR TREK theme is also shortened on H&I and MeTV. What's amazing to me about all of these is the idea that shaving a few seconds would make that much difference. Still, I think I prefer this to the butchery that Antenna TV and cable channels do by reducing the...

The Hindenburg (1975) (Blu-ray) Now Available To Preorder Amazon

Correct. If you have the graphical controls visible, the capture looks like a little camera. I believe the file is then saved by default in your Pictures folder (Windows) as vlcsnapxxxxxx.jpg with the date and time in the x's.

Question Dick Van Dyke show DVD vs Blu ray set

This comment applies mostly to the syndicated broadcast version of THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW as it is currently being run on the Catchy Comedies channel and MeTV. These run for one hour (two episodes) on Catchy at 10 PM eastern, and MeTV Sundays at 11 PM eastern. As I sometimes put these on as...

Blu-ray Review Mission: Impossible: The Original TV Series Blu-ray Review

How well I know that! I'm taken back to the nights when "Old Man Out" episodes aired originally on CBS. At that time, I wasn't yet into any "spy" stories, but my sisters were. Those episodes aired on Saturday night at, I believe, 9 PM. We spent those weekends at our smallish summer cottage...

Blu-ray Review Mission: Impossible: The Original TV Series Blu-ray Review

I just went to Amazon to get more info. I see one person claiming that "Old Man Out, Part 2" is missing from the BluRay set. I have two thoughts on the matter. 1. When looking at the Pluto streaming service's MISSION IMPOSSIBLE channel a couple of months ago, I caught the end of "Old Man Out...
