Kino-Lorber Insider Announcement Thread (Read Guidelines Post #3)

I bought both the Imprint of Country Girl & Sheba a while back during a sale. They weren't very expensive. I might possibly get the Kino releases later though.

Ozzie & Harriet Release From Sam Nelson?

Noticed a typo recently inside the case for the Season 14 episodes. It has Honk Kong Suit instead of Hong Kong Suit.

Thanks for posting. I forgot about that.

Ozzie & Harriet Release From Sam Nelson?

Some more thoughts to share as I am almost finished watching Season 14: Did you notice how Rick's hair style changed over the years of the show while David's seemed to stay the same? In some ways, David looked a bit like a younger version of Ozzie. I also noticed in the last season, Kris had...

    Midnight (1939) 4K restoration

So then might this be out on Blu Ray in the near future? By Universal? Kino? Someone else?

    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

I only wish Susan Hart would do the same.

    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

I have the old "The Woman Eater" DVD from Image/Gordon Films, Inc. Okay video, but like many of the titles Wade Williams had like "Kronos", "The Hideous Sun Demon" and "The Astounding She Monster", the audio levels are set too low. A lot of these titles could use major upgrades on Blu Ray.

    Chartroose Caboose-1960 Universal Film Lost?

Thanks for posting. Sure wish this film would turn up somewhere. Edgar Buchanan is always fun to see. I liked Molly Bee in "Summer Love" (1958), the follow up to "Rock, Pretty Baby" (1956), 2 more films that are hard to find.

    Chartroose Caboose-1960 Universal Film Lost?

Me too on those rare titles. Not expecting Kino or some other distributor to release many of these lesser known and rare titles, I seek out private collectors who have access to 16mm and 35mm prints to transfer onto disc. I actually acquired quite a few particularly from the 30's and 40's...

Same with me. I already have those 2 titles you mentioned.

    Chartroose Caboose-1960 Universal Film Lost?

So then you're saying the original print in color and Panavision is sitting in a vault? It is just a matter of Universal either releasing it or licensing to someone else, which may never happen. I guess unless some private collector has either a 16mm or 35mm copy of it somewhere, the chances are...

Press Release Warner Archive Collection Press Release: The Alaskans: The Complete Series (1959-1960) (Blu-ray)

Same with me. Besides those detective shows always mentioned by many, I would be happy to see Season 2 of Mr. Novak as well, even if just on DVD like Season 1 was.

    Chartroose Caboose-1960 Universal Film Lost?

Does anyone know the status of a Universal film titled "Chartroose Caboose" from 1960? It is a comedy starring Edgar Buchanan (best known for playing Uncle Joe on Petticoat Junction) as a retired railroad man and Molly Bee and Ben Cooper as a young couple who eloped. I read that it is possible...
