I got my ultimate collection for the 190 shorts. I could probably sell my Rare Treasures disc to someone here for a fair price if anyone wants it. I don't see myself really watching it more than once anyway. Send me a PM.
Thanks,
Steve
Rats. Not even closed captions? Subtitles are best as they go over HDMI cable. Closed captions don't go over HDMI. My son is deaf and needs CC or subtitles.
What I meant in my original post is simply that I find I like the subwoofer set to a different level for DVDs than I do for music and wondered if others had this same problem. My receiver does not allow different setting for different inputs. I did not mean that I like the subwoofer set to a...
How do I get the proper level of bass with music and balance that with the proper LFE level for movies? With my receiver, Yamaha rx-v995, when I set the subwoofer using VE and SPL meter, I set it at -18. That sounds good with movies, but it's too low for music. It sounds better at -12 for CDs...
My Fry's raised it to $800 : ( As soon as i can find it for $800 out the door from an autorised dealer I'm buying. I hope J&R has it on their Friday sale for $800 delivered this week. They have before when I was on the fence.
Hi, I am looking to upgrade my five year old Yamaha rx-v995. While reading about the rx-v2400 made me really want it, I also read about many people finding great deals on the rx-v3300. I mean people finding it for $600 new, from an authorized dealer. If I found a deal like that I'd give up the...
The 5803 is triple the price so it should be better. I won't be using the 7200 as a pre/pro. It's the amps I'm after. Is there a better receiver out there for $850 or less out the door?
I bought knowing it doesn't matrix 5.1 to 7.1. My room isn't ideal for 7.1 though as my rears and sides would pretty much be right on top of each other behind the couch. I can't get anything to the sides. I might try 7.1 someday but I think going after the best 5.1 sound is right for me. Because...
I don't have my 7200 yet, but I understood the logic 7 to work the way David said. I think asking HK to upgrade logic 7 to take 5.1 and matrix it to 7.1 is fair. I think they made it clear no PLIIx. Get the campaign rolling and I'm in.
Is an optical to coax better for any reason? I see the biggest drawback being is it's powered and I'd have to plug another thing in. I don't think I can keep plugging things in. Too much already :)
People e-mailed HK and they said no upgrades for the 7200. I bought it anyway. Buy it for the amps not the features. I'm very unlikely to go 7.1 anyway because of my room. The only downside with logic 7 is no 5.1 to 7.1 if I understand it right. You can go 2.0 to 7.1.
I just bought an HK AVR7200 receiver that has two optical inputs. I need three. I was told there are adaptors that take the optical cords from two devices and send them out with only one optical cord. Looking at the toslink adaptors I see online they are actually designed to take one optical in...
I have lots of redbook CDs and I love to listen to CDs in shuffle mode on a mega CD changer. You never know what track or artist will be next. I never listen to one CD all the way through. Are there any quality mega changers out there? I don't need it for DVDs as I have a Panasonic XP-30. I also...
I thought about the JandR sale but didn't know it was one day only. I bought mine from a HTF member who listed it for sale here because it didn't fit in his rack. I'm happy with the deal I got. Can anyone suggest a rack that will fit it though? Also, any setup or user tips from those that have...
Can an owner of a 7200 please tell me if they think it would fit in my rack? My current rack is: 17 inches wide 10 inches high 17.75 inches deep, but the receiver can stick out in front of the rack as far as it needs to. It can't go to the back of the rack because the back is not fully open...
