i think the four main actors did a good job. but i dont think it was exceptional. the writing was good, to the point that i think most actors could have done a good job. not so with eddie haskell. ken osmond did a wonderful job, painting that character. it is no wonder he got typecast.
i just thought of something else. i doubt if the studios would even let these actors do much riding. they have a humongous hit with the 4 cartwrights. they arent gonna take that sort of chance with losing one of them.
thanks. riding horses is a somewhat specialized thing. i just cant imagine that many actors are really riding them. i got on a horse once, and did not feel safe at all. and it was just walking. now i wasnt in stirrups and the whole get up, but as a kid, it was pretty scary for me. i never...
thanks, i did read most of the article. it seems as if most of the loss was in music, not video. and also that there seemed to be good replacements. i scanned the list of music artists, as it looked like it could have been 500 artists or more. one artist was johnny burnette. i just recently...
hi guys, i recently saw a thread mention "the big fire". my search does not work. is there a thread on it ? if not, i would like to have one started, so i could see what shows and movies have been permanently lost
just to reiterate - i voted based solely on how much i liked the show. not withstanding anything about what had already been released. i wasnt too familiar with most of them. love that bob sounds familiar - i probably saw that some. i started kindergarten in 1960.
i see many of you answered the question based upon what had been released. i am not up to date on most of the releases, but i think the question has a lot more meaning, if it is interpreted by the amount you like the show. i answered it, as if there were no releases at all, and then i had my...
i do want to own everything that i watch. i dont recall all the various definitions. but i think i will be satisfied with "relatively good" dvds. if a set gets a reasonably good okay from the site participants, it will almost always be good enough for me !! but when you refer to it as "a...
thanks, i dont do any streaming of any kind. i just need to wait until good sets come out. we do have a lot of shows that we can watch.
i have watched a few episodes on youtube, but the endings are often cut off.
i am probably not as fussy as some of you about the quality, but the ones on yt...
i dont think of the wild wild west as a western, either. the search button is not working for me. apparently seasons 5&6 of wagon train are out of print. was there ever a time when all 8 seasons could be purchased ?
i recall liking this show a lot. and i also recall watching it a lot. which would mean that i was watching reruns, as well.
in the los angeles area, at least some shows ran as re-runs, before the original episodes were finished.
the fugitive was on at either 12 or 1 in the afternoon, while...
you are welcome. i will probably get it at some point, but it is not a favorite of mine. it is good to hear that companies are striving towards higher quality releases !!
it came to me in an email, but it did have something to click. i didnt read it, so hopefully it has some value to you guys

i thought i had seen bj and the bear. but then i realized i was thinking of gentle ben. i dont know if everyone has the same picture on ad blocker screen. but there is a picture of a pretty lady on mine. it reminds me of suzanne pleshette ?
hi gary,
my main concern with releases is whether we still have the masters, when the time comes. i think someone on this site stated that we no longer have the masters to room 222. does anyone know if this is true ?
it is also my understanding that we have lost the originals to many old...
there are a number of points i would like to make, with regards to releases
1) how expensive is it to pay actors and make new shows, versus restoring film that is already present ?
2) i think most of the HTFers are thinking about all the old people who want them back for nostalgic reasons...
there seems to be several tv shows with that name, but i could not find this one. i dont recall it at all. did it make it as a show ? this was a cute episode
there are 32 songs on the cd. i downloaded 15 of them, which is quite a high percentage, for me. for those who liked the 2 songs that were on this thread, it would be a cd that they would enjoy having
is ebay a poor place to purchase ? i am hearing that many vendors are selling bootleg copies, that dont always play - not necessarily dobie gillis, just any tv show
