Complete series set comes in four thick cases with stacked discs. Case one has seasons 1-4, case 2 has seasons 5-8, case 3 seasons 9-11, and case 4 seasons 12-14.
My copy arrived in the mail today. I've read over the booklet, but haven't had a chance to watch any of it yet, since I've been watching the live recording on the Patreon feed for the "Stu's Show" podcast for the past three and a half hours. It was one of two packages I got today. The other...
If talking about "The Nude Bomb", it wasn't great, but cheesy enough to be in my collection. I have "Get Smart Again!" on DVD also, in a cardboard sleeve I bought for I THINK $3.99 at Suncoast Video back in the 90's. It was made-for-TV, included Barbara Feldon, and was the better revival.
Got email notification from Amazon that my order has shipped. Regardless of a few imperfections, I'll just be happy to have these shorts on Blu-ray. It's a far cry from the way I first saw them, on Saturday morning television as a kid in the 1970's, with the VERY truncated "title cards".
I bought a 4K player about a year ago, but have only purchased one 4K disc. May be my aging eyesight, but I wasn't impressed. The standard Blu-ray of the film looked much better to me than the 4K version, so I'm not going to bother "upgrading" any more films.
I have the Universal Blu-rays of the complete "Monty Python's Flying Circus" series now, and I have to admit, there is a HUGE difference from the old A&E DVDs. It's like watching the show for the first time. Also, tons of outtakes not on the previous DVDs. Apparently going back to the master PAL...
The "censored" scene was the same as the version in the actual episode on the DVD set, just in worse shape. The restored episode was minus the blurring.
Finally going through my Blu-ray set. Noticed the "bonus censored" scene on the set was from a really worn copy of the episode "Too Many Girls", where they blurred out most of Kelly Jean Peters body in a scene where she was in a bikini, with a navel covering. Wondering why Rhino, which owns all...
I saw a few 3-D movies in the theater ages ago, "Jaws 3", "Friday the 13th 3-D", and "Comin' At Ya". Yes, the novelty was nice, but I don't really care to wear special glasses to watch a movie. Also, I haven't bothered to go to a theater since at least the mid 1990's to see ANY movie. There are...
Enjoying the sets so far, I now have seasons 1-4, and have 5 and 6 pre-ordered, but I've just been sitting here wondering, since MPI Video is using later "rebroadcasts" for some episodes in the earlier season releases of "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" to make up for lost/severely damaged...
Mine arrived in the mail today, both cases have chips broken out of them. However, the discs themselves look fine, so I don't think I'll bother trying to return them.
Finally watched the first few episodes, and I agree. The colors really pop out over how washed out the DVDs look. Also, the "Screen Gems" logo is at the end of the episodes. It was missing on the DVDs.
I got an email on April 22 from the web store saying "Your order is on the way". Got an email from UPS on April 25 saying:
Scheduled Delivery Date:
Wednesday, 04/27/2022
Status on the UPS tracking still says "Label Created". So, I'm in the same boat currently.
