Watched AIPOPs new release "The Last Man on Earth" 3D...Andrew and crew did a great job creating this wonderful adjusted classic, and the 3D graphic novle included in the puchase was down right amazing!!!
And I followed that up with a fun restoration on BD of "The Belles of Saint Tinian's"...
So Robert, what happened to all of his work? Is someone else picking up the torch and running to complete it in Mikes name? That seems like the thing to do, to not let all of Mikes work go for naught!!!
It's sad that They don't play the "road show" versions of thier own movies, but most of the staff weren't alive when these classic films were in the theaters in that form. So, I can understand the presentation being in a more straight forward manner. This is why I enjoy the physical discs over...
By rewatching "Idiocracy" tells you so much, with what is currently acceptable as popular media and beyond. You can laugh or cry, what was designed as a comedy sure strikes close to the mark!!!
It was a two-for of Chaplin classics The Kid and City Lights...got the Criterion BD and finally got to sit down and enjoy these in HD!! Wonderful films!
It would be wonderful to retire the older BD for a ungraded restoration. It is one of my favorite Hitchcock titles. Funny, when TCM featured the restored release of The Searchers, that upgraded version never made it on to 4K or BD...
