I like all three differences found in the 165 minute version:
1. The 70 or so missing seconds in the opening sequence take nothing away from the brilliant segment; their loss actually tightens up the sequence in a good way.
2. No defense for the Harmonica rising scene except that I like it...
I agree with this, with the exception of the color of the dirt fields in the crop dusting sequence. The brown tone of the dirt in the blu-ray has *never* looked right to me and somewhat takes me out of the film at this point whenever I watch the BD.
Is there any source for reliable records from the Legion of Decency, particularly involving the dating of their ratings?
On the web, I am seeing Psycho listed as being rated both "C" (Condemned) and "B" (Morally objectionable in part). Is it possible that the LofD rated the film prior to its...
There is an anamorphic DVD of Matewan available. Look for the Canadian Seville Pictures DVD.
And, let me join the chorus: “We need more John Sayles on blu-ray!!!!”
Mr. Lime,
I know many might consider this a minor feature of this wonderful sounding set, but I think it is HUGE! Thanks to K-L for including it!

And, as much as I hate those 'now that you're going to release these, what about this' messages, is there any chance Twilight Time will release that other missing 1960's Wilder widescreen...
Unfortunately, not yet. I'm waiting for all of the unreleased UA Wilder films.
Is there no love here for
HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING?
The MGMHD showing a couple years ago looked great, except for the horribly windowboxed credits. I thought this would be a no-brainer as I...
Found all three on the shelves of my local Best Buy (Pleasant Hill, California) this afternoon. There were a couple more copies of each. Price was marked and rung up at $17.99 for Munich and $14.99 for Sneakers and Andromeda Strain. Will go back next week for a partial refund when the price...
Vahan,
Do you have a copy of this DVD? Can you supply the UPC code for it? I have been unable to verify the existence of such a disc. All I find are 2000 OHMSS DVDs, but no 1999s. Can you help?
Would love to see a good quality 2.35 version of the 1969 era UA/Transamerica logo! Any chance...
Have you actually seen the Fox blu-ray of "Fitzwilly" (with the 1967 era UA/Transamerica circle logo)? I can't find a retailer listing it anywhere on the web. Can you recommend a source?
UA Shield logo (circa 1966) on "Thunderbirds Are Go" (after the current, added MGM one); "Thunderbird 6" has only the current MGM logo.
Apologies if I was not clear.
Unfortunately, no Blue-Flower T logo on either, DVD or Blu. However, the "Thunderbird 6" trailer on the blu-ray (and MGM DVD) ends with the UA Transamerica circle.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned here, but the Twilight Time blu-ray of "Thunderbirds Are Go/Thunderbird 6" has the old (1966) United Artists logo at the beginning of "Thunderbirds Are Go", just like the preceding DVD. Nice!
