Has anyone here downloaded the 1080P version, I am wondering if it is this the same as the 4k, with the wires erased, 5.1 surround sound. Is the image much improved over the old dvd ?

As I stated before, I know nothing about iTunes, because I have never used them before, so, when you click the buy button it shows the movie as being 4K/dolbyvision ? So, if you cannot download 4K, then why do they show it as being a 4K purchase ? Just trying to figure things out here.

To anyone who has downloaded this movie. I see you say it is in 4k/DolbyVision, but, what about the sound. Does it show as Dolby Atmos or just a 5.1 track ?

Also available at FandangoNOW in 4K. That may be easier for me, don't have to fuss with iTunes compatibility. Would rather have it on 4K disc though !

I checked on iTunes when I first saw this thread. It was listed as being 4K, I just looked again today and the 4K is now missing. It shows "download 720P" instead. Anyone else see it showing this. If so, anyone know why the 4K would have been removed ?

Question, as I have never used iTunes and know absolutely nothing about it. If I join and purchase War of the Worlds 1953, can I then download it to my computer and transfer it to a usb drive to plug into my blu-ray player so I can watch it using a home cinema projector ? Thanks in advance !

Well, with RAH saying that projection is acceptable (which is how I will be watching it), and Robert Crawford's statements, I think I am going to give this a go anyway. I really want a blu of this film. I enjoy the movie and it sounds like it just might be worth it.

I bought this very same Limited Edition myself today at Walmart for $24.96 . Was going to get the bare bones 4K from Amazon for $25.00, when I saw this, changed my mind rather quickly.

Yes, I agree, The Outer Limits on blu would definitely be a day one purchase for me, I absolutely love that series. I already have the complete series on dvd, but an upgrade to blu would be a no brainer ! ! ! I have the complete Twilight Zone series on blu, so this would be a perfect companion...
