3D Blu-ray Review Treasure of the Four Crowns 3D Blu-ray Review

This movie was terrible when it first came out and a young Indiana Jones fan first saw it in the theatre. Fool me once.

What TV series should have a making of book?

And, being a huge X-FILES fan at the time (that passion being extinguished as Seasons 6-9 progressed) I picked up the first volume of this series. I don't remember much about it, but I rated it 2/5, so didn't bother to continue picking them up.

What TV series should have a making of book?

I'm pretty sure Bear Manor is a one-man operation, so it would be interesting to see how it all works in regards to paying writers, licensing fees, etc.

    The Giant Claw/Werewolf

Thanks, with no extras and only a minor uptick in PQ, I can save some bucks and stick with my DVDs on these ones.

    Disney+ Marvel's WandaVision

Yes, sir, this one. I've heard really good things about it. I don't read modern comic books, but am considering picking up the TPB for this series. I've always been a fan of the Wanda/Vision story arc.

    Army of the Dead (2021)

I would say 99.99% of films are made to make money, no matter what their makers try to tell us. Doesn't mean all of them should be made. THE HOBBIT could have been one really great film. Instead, it's a trilogy of diminishing returns.

    Army of the Dead (2021)

Agreed. The rest was uncalled for.

    Army of the Dead (2021)

I liked it, but I'll keep that to myself.

A Few Words About A few words about…™ Nightmare Alley – in Blu-ray

I'm with you, Thomas, and I love this film. But for what Criterion charges, coupled with this disappointing "restoration", not worth the upgrade.

    Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

Are you trying to say the world isn't clamoring for a big screen version of Granny Goodness?

Disney+ Secret Invasion (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

I've never heard of it, so just read the IMDb synopsis. That was offensive enough.

Kino-Lorber Insider Announcement Thread (Read Guidelines Post #3)

Don Siegel was a famous auteur, before Eastwood. Eastwood can thank Don for helping him become a huge film star.

    Stranger Things Season 3?

The disc in your fourth picture, the small writing along the outside of the disc says "© 2019 Lions Gtate". Looking again, it also says "Distributed exclusively in Cadada by..." Now, typos are possible in an official release...

TV cuts of films with deleted scenes.

Thanks, I did not know that and I love that film. I knew the TV cut was on my Shout disc, but just hadn't found the time to check it out, thinking it would be mostly a toned-down version of Carpenter's classic. That oversight will be rectified.

Disney+ THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

If memory serves, didn't ENDGAME show Steve dancing with Peggy Carter in the past? Implying that is who he ended up with?

Chris Evans to return to MCU as Captain America

I noticed that Feige said Evans is not returning as "Captain America", he didn't say anything about him returning as "Steve Rogers".

    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

First World problems, guys, get over it.

    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

Something was flagged, Kino checked, and checked again, both times being told "nope, everything's alright, nothing to see here", only to get burned after releasing the disc. "Oops, sorry Kino, turns out we did give you the wrong master." And now Kino has a...

Darn. Well, you might have just saved me $30, so thanks for that.

I think Kino has only stopped "Free" shipping to Canada, which they used to offer for orders over $100 (boy, do I miss those days).

    Marvel’s Cloak And Dagger (Freeform)

Well, thank goodness, they just remained friends. It's refreshing to have two leads in a show that don't fall in love. Especially when they didn't fall in love in the comic books (up to the point I was reading, anyway). A shame it was cancelled, though I do hope they have a future role in the MCU.
  24. Detour (1945)

    Marvel’s Cloak And Dagger (Freeform)

I don't think Cloak & Dagger were ever a romantic couple in the comic books, at least not in the first few years, when I was reading them. Things may have changed over the last 25+ years, but at this point the show is doing a good job of translating their relationship as portrayed in their...

    Marvel’s Cloak And Dagger (Freeform)

Since it never aired anywhere in Canada, I didn't catch up to this show until it recently dropped on Disney+, where I got to binge-watch all 20 episodes over the past week. Sometimes, it pays to be left out. Great show, btw, a shame there won't be a season 3.

    Disney+ Marvel's WandaVision

Thanks, I obviously misheard that, much appreciated.
  27. Detour (1945)

    Disney+ Marvel's WandaVision

I really appreciate your post, but I'm not very good at splitting up quotes, etc, as some of you are, so here's my response to these points, at least. Yeah, fan speculation makes sense. I've stayed away from any online info/discussions on this show (except this thread), so thought this was a...
