Pre-Order High Noon (1952) (4k UHD Combo) (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

So the only thing new about this Kino release, if you already have the previous Olive release, is two new commentaries? They mentioned something about a new 4K scan, but if you already have the previous release, I just don't see spending over twenty five dollars for a couple of commentaries and...

Press Release MPI Press Release: The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet Seasons 13 & 14 (DVD)

That complete set looks great but for those of us who bought it season by season, I guess we'll be deprived of the two bonus features DVDs. Thanks a lot, MPI!

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME FOR A COMPREHENSIVE MARILYN MONROE Blu-ray set?!?

Osato, Not that I’m aware of. Who knows what the future holds? Since this thread has morphed into a Monroe/Kelly thread, many of her, Kelly’s, movies have not been released on Blu ray, much less 4k either. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems the amount of older movies getting new physical media...

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME FOR A COMPREHENSIVE MARILYN MONROE Blu-ray set?!?

Jayembee, Thanks. That's what I figured. I was only doing some wishful thinking. I guess a fellow can daydream. Perhaps maybe someday!

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME FOR A COMPREHENSIVE MARILYN MONROE Blu-ray set?!?

What are the chances, if any, that Warner Archive will eventually release Monroe's "Prince and the Showgirl" and Kelly's "High Society" on Blu-ray? I figured that those titles would be no-brainers for them since both would be good sellers. Now that so many years have passed, would winning the...

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME FOR A COMPREHENSIVE MARILYN MONROE Blu-ray set?!?

Konstantinos, I'm assuming you're referring to the "Forever Marilyn" set. If you can find it at a good price, you may want to go ahead and get it. At least you'll have it to watch as you are waiting for possible future 4k releases if any more do get released. Trouble is, this may be out of print...

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME FOR A COMPREHENSIVE MARILYN MONROE Blu-ray set?!?

Does anyone know if the "Marilyn Monroe Declassified" DVD/Blu-ray is worth getting? I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but I do think something else could have happened to her. Just too many unanswered questions.

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME FOR A COMPREHENSIVE MARILYN MONROE Blu-ray set?!?

I'd be satisfied if Warners Archive would release "Prince and the Showgirl." That's really the only full Marilyn Monroe movie not to have a Blu-ray release. In the other unreleased (on Blu-ray) films, she more or less had only small supporting roles. I guess the one exception would be "Ladies of...

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME FOR A COMPREHENSIVE MARILYN MONROE Blu-ray set?!?

I love for it to happen too, but I'm not holding my breath. Most of the old Marilyn Monroe Blue Rays, especially Niagara, are long out of print and are going for a king's ransom on various websites. If there are any that you want or do not already have, you'd better snatch them up while you can...

Press Release MPI Press Release: The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet Seasons 1 & 2 (DVD)

Not sure if anyone else in this thread has mentioned this, but seasons 3 & 4 are also available for preorder, although a bit higher price-wise on Amazon at $29.99 each. I've not found any info about this, but I'm assuming that none of these sets have the original commercials. I was hoping they...

    Ozzie & Harriet

I too pre ordered this. Fifty dollars for two complete seasons is too good of a deal to pass up! Does anyone know if these will contain the original commercials? It would be nice if it did. My only concern is that, if these don’t sell well, the first two seasons may be all we get, but my fingers...

THE DONNA REED SHOW: SEASON 5

For those who may be interested, eBay has a couple of those promotional General Mills Donna Reed DVDs for under ten dollars. They contain two season eight episodes, “Four on a Floor” and “No More Parties.” Since the complete season eight may never be released, this might be a good way to obtain...

THE DONNA REED SHOW: SEASON 5

LouA, Thanks so much for the information! The Shelley Fabares CDs that I ordered were all imports so they may be the same ones. What I don't have is a couple of songs from the "Bye Bye Birdie" album (I can live without those). The only songs she recorded that I cannot find on CD are "Make Me...

THE DONNA REED SHOW: SEASON 5

Looks like this thread has been abandoned. I've been reading it for most of the day and found it quite interesting. I guess getting the final three seasons is not going to happen, in the foreseeable future anyway. Does anyone know much about the recording careers of Paul and Shelley? Shelley...

Blu-ray Review A Few Words About A few words about…™ The HD to Blu-ray upgrade saga: Part 3 - The Untouchables – in Blu-ray

This will be nice, but I'd much rather see the old Untouchables series with Robert Stack get a Blu Ray release

Press Release The Three Musketeers (Warner Archive Collection) (1948) (Blu-ray)

Yes, For Me and My Gal is very dramatic, but it is a musical and it does have somewhat of a happy ending. At least the leading lady was not killed off in that one. Don't get me wrong. I like dramas but I lean more towards musical comedies.

Press Release The Three Musketeers (Warner Archive Collection) (1948) (Blu-ray)

I’ve never seen the Lester versions but I understand where you are coming from. It’s just me. I enjoy a comedy more than I do a heavy drama. I did see the Ritz Brothers version and I did find that amusing. I’m more of a comedy/musical person. I’m hoping For Me and My Gal will be released eventually!

Press Release The Three Musketeers (Warner Archive Collection) (1948) (Blu-ray)

Normally, I'd be to the moon with the news of a new Gene Kelly Blu, I'm a huge fan of his, but this was my least favorite of his films. I guess it's the sudden mood change of the film, from a light comedy at the beginning, to a heavy drama towards the end that I don't care for. Although I'm...

Pre-Order I Dream of Jeannie: The Complete Series (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

That Target price of $57.99 sure beats the $85.99 preorder price that Amazon has it for. I guess I'll wait until it's $40-$30 dollar range, which it will be eventually. I'm still in amazement that I found the season one Blu-ray of I Love Lucy for five dollars at Big Lots. I remember when that...

    Is Warner All MOD now?

As much as I hate to say it, physical media seems to be on hospice. I predict that in a few short years everything will go to streaming though I'm sure MOD will be around as long as there is a demand. I know that all the new release DVDs, Blu Rays, and, especially CDs, I have bought over the...

Blu-ray Review The Flintstones The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

John, A P.S. to my post, I went back on Amazon for a second look and it looks like Amazon is not selling this directly outside of third party sellers. It might, with an emphasis on the word might, be that when Amazon starts selling this themselves again, it will be a new batch with the corrected...

Blu-ray Review The Flintstones The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

John, Just a friendly word of caution. If you are referring to the Amazon post(s) dated back in February, they were up when I ordered my set, also in February, and I still got the defected disk. I noticed that Amazon has gone down in price and that's always a good thing. If you do decide to pull...

The Andy Griffith Show: Missing Scenes, Laugh Tracks, And Other Issues

Ben, Yes, exactly. I guess that's another way of saying that old phrase "you can never go home again." I could give other examples such as recording artists of the 50's-60's re-recording their greatest hits. Though the sound may be o.k., it could never replace the originals. Age happens to all...

The Andy Griffith Show: Missing Scenes, Laugh Tracks, And Other Issues

John and Tony, I guess you both already know this, but Don Knotts was a semi-regular on the later seasons of Matlock. He and Andy even did some of the old Andy Griffith Show routines. Though, to me, it was great and amusing to watch them together again, it was also a little sad watching an aged...

Blu-ray Review The Flintstones The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

CONGRATULATIONS Nelson and Bryan!!! I'm glad they finally came! I kept my defected disk. I swapped it out with the replacement and put it back in the case. I even kept the letter it came with too. They may never be worth anything but who knows.

The Andy Griffith Show: Missing Scenes, Laugh Tracks, And Other Issues

Tony, I know it's been almost four years since you posted about the public domain "Raintree Home Video" DVD (post 128 of this thread). I have that addition and, although I don't know about the runtimes (don't know when I'd have time to watch it for working) I can, however, give you some info on...

Blu-ray Review The Flintstones The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

Nelson, I was at work when it came, but the UPS man gave it to my brother who was at home. Check your front and back porches good if you have them. Also, if you have steps on any porches and doorways, check those as well. As I said in an earlier post, UPS drivers here are bad to put packages...

Blu-ray Review The Flintstones The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

My replacement disk arrived by UPS today. The person I spoke of, who posted on Amazon, was correct. It does take about a week or thereabouts for the replacement disk to arrive after they receive the email request.

Blu-ray Review The Flintstones The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

John, If I'm understanding your question correctly, if you are waiting for sets to come in with the corrected disk you may want to wait a little longer. Since Amazon is still selling the set with the uncorrected disk, there is a pretty good chance that other suppliers are too. At least, if you...
