On my BDB when I took the portafilter out the puck was damp but no water above it. On my new ECM the puck supports a dose of water each time that you can actually swirl around. This doesn’t seem normal. Does this mean my grinds are too small? @Carlo_M

Phase 1 of the reset is complete. Now to actually make some coffee. Initial test using my breville conical burr grinder was not great so I swapped to a DF83 until the new guys get here and I do a 3 sided test

I bit the bullet and have the bwf system on order. I’ll test my water with the included ECM strips later today. The connection is now complete tho so I’m going to go without the filter for a few days. Shouldn’t be an issue long term.

Dear god, they didn’t replace the single and double portafilters with the wenge versions. They added them in. I got 5 total portafilters in this order. It was pre installed with the levers It’s a damn work of art
