    Batgirl (2022)

I don't think we've seen anybody go on the record about dismal test screenings. I've only seen "unnamed sources" state that in articles like the one in the Post. It's entirely possible that there were dismal test screenings, but it's equally possible that the people on the Discovery side are...

There's also the fact that Adil & Bilall have a really good track record. Bad Boys for Life is my favorite of that trilogy, and they set the style and tone for the critically-acclaimed first season of "Ms. Marvel". I can see how their Batgirl might not have the scope or scale of the DC...

    Batgirl (2022)

If the movie is nearly finished, as Variety reported above, I can't see how this won't leak. If Discovery is counting it as a tax write-off, everybody already got paid. And I would imagine someone in the post-production process would want all of their hard work to get seen.

Discovery also just has a very different corporate culture and mentality than TimeWarner did. Most of their content prior to the WarnerMedia acquisition was reality-based, low-cost and high-volume output. Seeing what Warner Bros. spends and what they get for it would be shocking coming from...

    Batgirl (2022)

Confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter Although it sounds like more Discovery penny-pinching rather than a quality control issue.

Definitely surprised how much it leans into the look from the Adam West Batman series. Glad Barbara's still a redhead, too.

    Batgirl (2022)

Interesting casting, given that Barbara Gordon has had such a specific look for the past half-century. I wonder if this is in continuity with the Matt Reeves Batman.

    Batgirl (2022)

I would watch the fuck out of that movie.

    Batgirl (2022)

I'd be more excited if it was a true standalone instead of part of the DC Snyderverse. That said, the dreary established aesthetic is better suited for Gotham City than any of the settings. I wonder where this will fall in the chronology, pre-BvS or post-BVS. Was there any hints in BvS that the...
