The "Batwoman" pilot is starting to fill out its cast:
Rachel Skarsten (Dinah Lance on The WB's short-lived Batman spinoff "Birds of Prey") will play Alice, the Joker-esque leader of Gotham's Wonderland Gang.
Meagan Tandy ("Teen Wolf") will play Sophie Moore, a high-level private security agent...
I actually wouldn't bet against Lynda Carter being in it, albeit as a disgraced ex-president.
Adam West and George Reeves, however, aren't in much of a position to hear the call.:)
The cosmic book gave Deegan complete knowledge of the universe -- but only the Earth-1 Universe. So he knew what Superman looked like from the fight with the power-replicating robot in Part 1, but that brief foray into Earth-1 (coupled with his knowledge of Supergirl's various visits to Earth-1)...
I think it's as simple as the story they wanted to tell required the most "Flash" characters in hour one and the most "Supergirl" characters in hour three, so it was easier to just have the shows switch time slots.
I loved all of the Superman III nods in tonight's wrap-up of this year's crossover.
The climactic battle between Deegan's faux-Superman and the real Superman was suitably exciting to watch, though there's no way that -- even evenly matched in powers -- the real Superman should have spent so...
Tonight's episode was clearly meant as a backdoor pilot for a Batwoman series with Ruby Rose.
The decision to shoot the Gotham scenes in Chicago gave the episode a scope and scale that the Arrowverse shows just don't usually have. And Chicago, of course, stood in for Gotham in Christopher...
These crossovers are just so much fun. And I continue to love Tyler Hoechlin's take on Superman.
Especially loved the "Smallville" theme song when they cut to the Kent Farm on Earth-38.

This latest set photo is a reveal that I wish had been kept secret until the crossover aired, it's so good. I'm putting it in spoiler tags so nobody gets inadvertently spoiled the way I did:
The eighth episode of the season is the series's 100th episode, and will serve as the midseason finale...
Jeremy Davies to play villainous Arkham psychiatrist Dr. John Deegan
Interestingly, Davies played Ritchie Simpson in two episodes of "Constantine", the NBC series that introduced us to Matt Ryan's version of John Constantine -- now a series regular on the Arrowverse series "Legends of Tomorrow".
DC has announced that Tyler Hoechlin will be returning as Superman for the crossover event, and they're currently in the process of casting Lois Lane, who will also appear.
I'm very happy with this news, because in my opinion Hoechlin's Superman is the best since Christopher Reeve.
Per TVLine:
The crossover will air Sunday, December 9th through Tuesday, December 11th. Due to the ordering of the story across the episodes, "The Flash" and "Supergirl" will swap timeslots, with "The Flash" airing on Sunday and "Supergirl" airing on Tuesday. The episodes comprising the...
From what I understand, the crossover this year is going to be more intimate stakes than the last couple, where the fate of Earth-1 was on the line, so it might be that the Legends aren't even aware of it.

The fifth annual "Arrowverse" crossover event will span "Arrow", "The Flash" and "Supergirl" and take us to Gotham City for the first time, where we'll meet Kate Kane, secretly the masked vigilante known as Batwoman...
