The OJ doc is also on Hulu. I don't think the ratings have much to do with the host. As long as politics continue to take over the show the general public will just not watch. The average person is sick and tired of pampered millionaires telling them how wrong they are everything they believe...

This is what my wife said immediately after Suicide Squad got their statue; "We now live in a world where Suicide Squad is an Academy Award winning film, think about that for a moment."

Why 2? So, it may not have been a "stuffing" problem but a stage hand problem. I guess they were just handed the wrong one and didn't notice, until it was to late.

So, how many envelopes for each category do they have? I figured they had 1 per category and the winners got to keep them. Or was the actress card also in the BP envelope? La La Land will always be BP in my heart, it's my favorite movie of the year. My wife loved it as well.

What a strange ending. Sad LLL didn't win BP. Moonlight trailers never appealed to me that much so I haven't seen it but, it doesn't look like a movie I'd enjoy more then LLL.

La La Land starting to pull away, that makes 5, I think. Yep, 4 not 5. I counted wrong.

I think this year's awards has been pretty diverse whether Moonlight wins or not.

I love the songs as well, I just think Moana's How Far I'll Go is a little better.

When the noms were announced LLL was basically crowned the winner. If it gets upset could be it because that hype caused votes to go elsewhere? Maybe many voters were thinking "it's going to win anyway so I'm voting for something else."

Moana was a WDAS film, not Pixar.

You're not the only one, I've had the same thought. I've been worried for weeks about how political this broadcast was going to be and it is close to being unbearable.

How do they define "supporting role"? Her and Denzel are the stars of the movie and Dev Patel is the main character of Lion?

Wish they'd bring the lifetime achievement award back to the broadcast. It was always one if my favorite moments of the show.

Uh-oh, La La Land is 0 for 2. Maybe not as big a night as many thought? Although I agree with Arrival winning, amazing audio in that movie. I love La La Land but never thought of it as having the best sound editing.

I think this is the best nominated song, I hope it wins. The music in Moana surprised me, wasn't expecting it to be so good but I think it the best from Disney since Hunchback.

Is HTF going to host a chat again this for the Oscars? It is always a lot of fun.

I'm pulling for La La Land in everything except, oddly enough, best song. I just think the song How Far I'll Go from Moana is the best song nominated. All the music from Moana is really good IMO. I'm not sure La La Land will win this category anyway because the 2 songs will probably split votes.
