"Skull" is undeniably the worst of the 4.
But it still "feels like" an Indiana Jones movie in ways "DoD" doesn't.
I didn't call the whole movie "charming" but there's a spark and charm in it that I feel "DoD" lacks.

I think he's a spotty filmmaker, but I liked his approach to Wolverine - IMO his 2 Wolverine flicks are probably the best of the X-Men/related flicks to date.

The NYC parts are pretty good, but I find the prologue to be gratuitous, too long and too "rote" - it feels like a jumble of ideas from earlier movies and never delivers much excitement.
Same goes for the whole movie, really.
Which kills me, because "RotLA" is a top 10 - maybe top 5 -...
Yeah, "KotCS" is unquestionably flawed, but it's still fun in ways "DoD" isn't.
I hoped I'd like "DoD" more my 2nd time but nope - it's still just a drag too much of the time.
It feels like an AI attempt to make an Indy movie - just none of the original magic.
